Nobody understands him but his woman...

nickn, Tuesday, 15 September 2009 06:51 (sixteen years ago)

That's because (a) I was never a fan of Michael Jackson and (b) actually enjoyed the odd Patrick Swayze movie (namely "Red Dawn" and "Donnie Darko" ... if the latter can be referred to as a "Patrick Swayze movie.")

Michael Jackson meant nothing to me other than irritation.

Cunga, Tuesday, 15 September 2009 23:18 (sixteen years ago)

just got back home, i've been on campus all day (midterm week :'(), and then at a friend's.

she defriended me on facebook. so i'm pretty sure she (and some others) saw it. i had checked facebook on my phone earlier, and after my post there were 2 other replies, one saying "ummm" and the other ignoring my post and congratulating her.

i'm going to bed, i have a mutual friend who i just txted to check up on her profile tomorrow morning.

Cunga, Tuesday, 15 September 2009 23:20 (sixteen years ago)

i sent the message:

idk dude, you should probably talk to your gf about it not me. but trust me, it happened, i know the guy she did it with, and other people do too. when you were going home every weekend, she had sex in your guys' bed. if you dont believe me..tattoo. inner thigh.

i'm not trying to be an ass or anything, but i figured youd wanna know..

Cunga, Thursday, 17 September 2009 00:44 (sixteen years ago)

tattoo. inner thigh.

Cunga, Thursday, 17 September 2009 00:45 (sixteen years ago)

Wait so you're seeing all this unfold and you're not involved? How public is this shit going down?

Dearth Disco (Trayce), Thursday, 17 September 2009 00:58 (sixteen years ago)

The guy who's doing this is asking for help and posting the developments on a massive thread somewhere over the internet rainbow. Hundreds are watching it go down on there - he asked for advice and it naturally took this turn.

Cunga, Thursday, 17 September 2009 01:15 (sixteen years ago)

mental.

stet, Thursday, 17 September 2009 01:20 (sixteen years ago)

Hahaha thats awesome.

Dearth Disco (Trayce), Thursday, 17 September 2009 01:58 (sixteen years ago)

good god

both HOOSlarious and truthful (BIG HOOS aka the steendriver), Thursday, 17 September 2009 03:23 (sixteen years ago)

Yes, "awesome" that this poor guy gets to find out his fiancee cheated on him via a Facebook comment. "Awesome" indeed.

Size-zero-brigade-embrace-token-chubby-chops (jon /via/ chi 2.0), Thursday, 17 September 2009 03:30 (sixteen years ago)

tattoo. inner thigh.

Cunga, Thursday, 17 September 2009 03:31 (sixteen years ago)

Well its not awesome for the guy, no.

Dearth Disco (Trayce), Thursday, 17 September 2009 03:31 (sixteen years ago)

Tbh, the guy that posted the initial comment is a worthless douchebag. If it was so important to him that this guy find out about her cheating, there are certainly MUCH better ways to handle it. Tossing it out on Facebook like that was clearly intended to just fuck with their lives for his own entertainment. Karma's a bitch.

Size-zero-brigade-embrace-token-chubby-chops (jon /via/ chi 2.0), Thursday, 17 September 2009 03:33 (sixteen years ago)

What's sort of crazy is that he only did it after being egged on by about a hundred internet people demanding some sort of e-justice and shouting "do it faggot." Certainly not the kind of encouragement that will lead to a good decision. Ever.

Wow, major update:

http://i25.tinypic.com/295w9jt.jpg

"seriously what the fuck is your problem, ive only met you twice. why the fuck are you trying to ruin my life? I don't know what you think you know, but stop making shit up. Thanks to you my fiance won't fucking talk to me anymore. Stay outta my business, asshole."

Cunga, Thursday, 17 September 2009 03:39 (sixteen years ago)

That's from the girl, apparently.

Cunga, Thursday, 17 September 2009 03:40 (sixteen years ago)

Pft. She lyin'.

Dearth Disco (Trayce), Thursday, 17 September 2009 03:44 (sixteen years ago)

She's been caught out and now she's shittin herself.

Dearth Disco (Trayce), Thursday, 17 September 2009 03:44 (sixteen years ago)

why don't people ever realize that facebook has a private messaging option?

Roz, Thursday, 17 September 2009 03:52 (sixteen years ago)

Somehow, I suspect they want the public show.

Dearth Disco (Trayce), Thursday, 17 September 2009 03:53 (sixteen years ago)

oh wait yeah i just realized that this *is* going down in PMs and the guy is screencapping the replies - well that's pretty shitty imo

Roz, Thursday, 17 September 2009 03:55 (sixteen years ago)

Too bad there's no film of the guy's face when he read "tattoo. inner thigh." Was probably epic. Poor guy.

why don't people ever realize that facebook has a private messaging option?

Because this started as a "what if I did ______? lol" joke and then evolved into "I'm doing this guy a favor this has a purpose bro needs to know." event.

x-post exactly

Cunga, Thursday, 17 September 2009 03:55 (sixteen years ago)

Yeah I was gonna say (the first comment was on her wall tho)

xpost

Dearth Disco (Trayce), Thursday, 17 September 2009 03:55 (sixteen years ago)

his response to the girl (or the one that the forum wants him to send)

"look, lady. you wanna go on ahead and deny you slept with my boy "___________" all you want, but the fact remains you did it. the NEW fucking question is are you that hurtful of a person to not fess up now before you ruin this poor guys life?

if you even REMOTELY have a soul, tell him the truth."

Cunga, Thursday, 17 September 2009 04:06 (sixteen years ago)

I don't think there's a problem w/ public shaming for a girl who does something like this. And I don't think it's horrible that someone notifies the dude about this, even if it's over fb and done by someone obnoxious.

The real problem is that the dude who was about to get married is now *also* dealing w/ this shit in public. He didn't do anything to deserve that, and you'd think that if the internet moralist was really thinking about that dude's best interests, he'd be acting differently.

iatee, Thursday, 17 September 2009 04:15 (sixteen years ago)

this is lame and everyone involved is a retard

akm, Thursday, 17 September 2009 04:39 (sixteen years ago)

This is why I never ever discuss my personal life (well much of it) on FB. You cant lock that shit down.

Dearth Disco (Trayce), Thursday, 17 September 2009 04:44 (sixteen years ago)

If Google ever bought Facebook I think we'd all just give up the notion of a private life altogether. They'd have too much to blackmail us with.

Cunga, Thursday, 17 September 2009 04:52 (sixteen years ago)

My first couple years on ILX are enough to damn me forever, anyway. But I am big on protecting the privacy of others, and helping to make them awafe of the risks.

or have I become completely absurd? (kenan), Thursday, 17 September 2009 05:04 (sixteen years ago)

Big Lebowski Shirts!

astronimo domino (onimo), Thursday, 17 September 2009 06:59 (sixteen years ago)

apparently you can't be 'in a relationship' with your piano on facebook

helping to make them awafe of the risks (nickalicious), Thursday, 17 September 2009 07:12 (sixteen years ago)

sorry to be the one to break this but another dude's been playing your piano

The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall, Thursday, 17 September 2009 07:43 (sixteen years ago)

Alright, how about this perspective?

She had an affair, it was brief, ended, few people knew, and she's 'had it out' with her fiance, and they've sorted out any underlying issues and all is fine.

They decide to get married.

Now, it's all over the internet and she is denied the closure for the sake of the people who go up to the guy and go "lol she emasculated you and gave you the horns of a cuckold siree" so he can't go ahead for fear of looking lol gay or whatever it's called.

Still, lol, ay?

Mark G, Thursday, 17 September 2009 08:24 (sixteen years ago)

No one's denying this dude's method was ridiculous and was rooted in stone-throwing naughtiness, but I think the facebook needling and the damage done is overstated. The big revelations were all contained in FB e-mails and no one's identity has been revealed.

BTW, the guy she slept with is apparently doing a semester at sea and is unreachable for the most part.

Cunga, Thursday, 17 September 2009 08:58 (sixteen years ago)

it seems pretty clear that they didn't 'have it out' tho

iatee, Thursday, 17 September 2009 09:05 (sixteen years ago)

Dear the sea, before you get married to this guy I have something you might want to know

you used to sleep with somebody who avoided a soap (DJ Mencap), Thursday, 17 September 2009 09:06 (sixteen years ago)

I dunno, basically if my soon to be wife had cheated on me, I'd want to know about it. I just wouldn't want the process of me learning about it to be public.

iatee, Thursday, 17 September 2009 09:06 (sixteen years ago)

it seems pretty clear that they didn't 'have it out' tho

It seems pretty clear that it's nobodyz bizness but dere ownnn

Mark G, Thursday, 17 September 2009 09:09 (sixteen years ago)

it started being other peoples' bizness when she started sleeping with other people

iatee, Thursday, 17 September 2009 09:14 (sixteen years ago)

this is lame and everyone involved is a retard
