Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Wednesday, 19 July 2006 15:32 (nineteen years ago)

What Andrew said.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 19 July 2006 15:33 (nineteen years ago)

yes you do, Andrew! You went there with me to get sandwiches.

Kaet (kate), Wednesday, 19 July 2006 15:34 (nineteen years ago)

I'm sure I'll walk past it on the way home and go 'ah, there, of course', though.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 19 July 2006 15:34 (nineteen years ago)

dadaismus again last night, in Old Street as usual, from the bus. he did not see me.

Konal Doddz (blueski), Wednesday, 19 July 2006 15:35 (nineteen years ago)

Ed in Liberty yesterday evening, buying "Kate shirts" to wear at the upcoming weddings he'll be attending.

Headspin (Barima), Thursday, 20 July 2006 08:34 (nineteen years ago)

Don Quixote is just down from Burger King, EAT, etc, more or less adjoining... Long Acre? Or the one between Long Acre and Parker Place or whatever it's called.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller 68), Thursday, 20 July 2006 08:38 (nineteen years ago)

dadaismus, holloway road, this morning

-- (688), Friday, 21 July 2006 08:33 (nineteen years ago)

I thought Don Quixote was a big discount store?

ken c (ken c), Friday, 21 July 2006 08:42 (nineteen years ago)

dadaismus, holloway road, this morning

What? Who are you -- --?

Dadaismus (Are we in love like I think we be?) (Dada), Friday, 21 July 2006 08:46 (nineteen years ago)

duh Gareth...

suzy (suzy), Friday, 21 July 2006 11:32 (nineteen years ago)

Why duh? Should I have guessed from -- -- already? What is my soul, a raisin?!?!

Dadaismus (Are we in love like I think we be?) (Dada), Friday, 21 July 2006 11:33 (nineteen years ago)

At the Weakerthans gig this evening, I saw this guy ahead of me rocking out, and then he turned to talk to his friend and I thought "That guy looks like Nick A from ILX! But the guy he's talking to looks like Peter from the Mountain Goats!".

"Sorry, is your name J0hn?"

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Wednesday, 2 August 2006 22:51 (nineteen years ago)

a few weeks ago my internship almost involved mailing d4n s3lzer a package-- unfortunately our supply of music was running low and it was decided that carlos d (!) was a more deserving dj than mr slzr. so sorry dan! (and of course i mail galkin shit practically every other day)

nervous (cochere), Thursday, 3 August 2006 05:10 (nineteen years ago)

remy spotted me walking home a few days ago.

rudy huxtable can't fail (Jody Beth Rosen), Thursday, 3 August 2006 05:17 (nineteen years ago)

or perhaps he was STALKING ME.

rudy huxtable can't fail (Jody Beth Rosen), Thursday, 3 August 2006 05:17 (nineteen years ago)

did you spot him back or were you only informed of it after the fact

nervous (cochere), Thursday, 3 August 2006 05:19 (nineteen years ago)

he yelled "JODY!" across the street and i went "whuh? oh hi!"

rudy huxtable can't fail (Jody Beth Rosen), Thursday, 3 August 2006 05:21 (nineteen years ago)

Toby and Collette at The Break-Up. They were not breaking up or anything. Though we had all clearly skived off of work.

Pete (Pete), Thursday, 3 August 2006 08:30 (nineteen years ago)

I saw Ed on Grays Inn Road on monday morning. I started grinning at him inanely as soon as I saw him, but he only acknowledged my presence just as he was about to pass by me. Maybe he didn't recognise m and just smiled to be polite? Maybe it wasn't Ed, maybe there's an Ed look-a-like in that area who's wondering who that nutcase was. Nah.

Vicky (Vicky), Thursday, 3 August 2006 08:39 (nineteen years ago)

I recognised you, I was probably off in a wibbly wobbly reverie about something though and it took a little while for the gears to creak into action in the real world.

Ed (dali), Thursday, 3 August 2006 08:42 (nineteen years ago)

I think I saw Starry Sarah on Tottenham Court Road last Tuesday.

Anna (Anna), Thursday, 3 August 2006 08:51 (nineteen years ago)

I saw Andrew Farrell at the Mountain Goats show tonight. I guess that would have been less surprising had I looked at this thread earlier.

toby (tsg20), Thursday, 3 August 2006 21:27 (nineteen years ago)

I will see confounded and jon in one room tonight. The universe shivers.

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Thursday, 3 August 2006 21:41 (nineteen years ago)

just ran into ed and ambrose, and then gareth along rosebery ave tonight. i only figured this out as we were running for a bus and wondering where the people shouting 'toby! colette!' were coming from.

also, saw robster on the northern line between kings cross and mornington crescent last week on our way to see low at koko.

colette (a2lette), Saturday, 5 August 2006 22:48 (nineteen years ago)

Suzy and Anna legging it through the Tate Britain courtyard at the Scritti gig last Friday.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Monday, 7 August 2006 08:44 (nineteen years ago)

Oh, you were there? You should have come and said hello! (I guess we ran off, Suzy was moving at speed and I was struggling with heels and a laptop bag.

I met Enrique last night!

Anna (Anna), Monday, 7 August 2006 08:48 (nineteen years ago)

i met anna!

plus kate, kind of, though i fucked it up! how to fuck up a handshake, you might wonder.

Bashment Jakes (Enrique), Monday, 7 August 2006 08:50 (nineteen years ago)

At the same Scritti gig, pre-show, I met Green, just as I came out of the loo, where the hand dryer wasn't working. He reached for my hand and got a very damp and clammy shake - so I guess I fucked one up too.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Monday, 7 August 2006 08:54 (nineteen years ago)

Oh, were you trying to shake my hand? I was just being drunked and pointing and laughing going "Enrique!!! In public!!! At an ILX thing!!!"

I'm On The Radio So I Don't Care!!!1! (kate), Monday, 7 August 2006 09:08 (nineteen years ago)

I ran into Anna and Suzy at the Scritti gig too! But not Jerry the Nipper. :(

marianna lcl (marianna lcl), Monday, 7 August 2006 09:19 (nineteen years ago)

Being a squatter veteran, Green probably thought it was piss on Jerry's hand.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller 68), Monday, 7 August 2006 09:24 (nineteen years ago)

jeez, we were at the scritti thing on friday as well, can't believe i didn't see anyone else!

colette (a2lette), Monday, 7 August 2006 09:34 (nineteen years ago)

i was going to go to the scritti thing but didn't; i was also going to go to the shimura gig but didn't! so many impromptu sighting chances missed.

The Lex (The Lex), Monday, 7 August 2006 09:35 (nineteen years ago)

I'm not sure if going to see a band with ILxOrs in counts as inpromptu.

Pete (Pete), Monday, 7 August 2006 11:10 (nineteen years ago)

saw matt dc walking down rosebery ave yesterday. he was bopping along with headphones, so decided against shouting at him from the bus.

colette (a2lette), Friday, 18 August 2006 08:48 (nineteen years ago)

marianna, at archway, from the bus, earlier this week, looking sort of business like

now, another one, has popped into my head, that im not sure of, because i was hungover, and in a daze...but...im wondering if i saw alasdair maclean on the tube, wearing....SUNGLASSES, and reading....THE DAILY SPORT. can this really be true?

-- (688), Friday, 18 August 2006 08:50 (nineteen years ago)

I would've hurled abuse at him, safe in the knowledge that he wouldn't hear. (xpost)

Konal Doddz (blueski), Friday, 18 August 2006 08:50 (nineteen years ago)

alasdair maclean ?

Bashment Jakes (Enrique), Friday, 18 August 2006 09:01 (nineteen years ago)

author of 'the guns of navarone'?

Bashment Jakes (Enrique), Friday, 18 August 2006 09:02 (nineteen years ago)

Clientele vocalist

Konal Doddz (blueski), Friday, 18 August 2006 09:05 (nineteen years ago)

He always "takes" the Sport, AFAIK. The lyrics to "Losing Haringey" are lifted entirely from the letters page.

I saw Bri4n Bl3ss3d yesterday, but I don't think that counts - he only posted once on that Scritti Politti thread and I think he was lost.

Michael Jones (MichaelJ), Friday, 18 August 2006 10:14 (nineteen years ago)

oh, it actually was him? it seemed strange, to be wearing sunglasses underground at 8am

-- (688), Friday, 18 August 2006 10:30 (nineteen years ago)

Bashment Jakes (Enrique), Friday, 18 August 2006 10:32 (nineteen years ago)

He was wearing sunnies so he wouldn't be recognised clearly. Post Lake House their fame has soared.

AlisDAIR not Where Eagles DARE.

Pete (Pete), Friday, 18 August 2006 10:34 (nineteen years ago)

I think Michael is lying two times.

Konal Doddz (blueski), Friday, 18 August 2006 10:48 (nineteen years ago)

BEEP BEEP

The JB Horns (mark grout), Friday, 18 August 2006 11:36 (nineteen years ago)

Alas.

Mädchen (Madchen), Friday, 18 August 2006 12:02 (nineteen years ago)

two weeks pass...
Ktee who never posts here anymore but anyway said hello to me in Sister Ray, Saturday afternoon. For the record, the CDs I was buying were Stereopathetic Soul Manure by Beck and A Strangely Isolated Place by Ulrich Schnauss.

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Monday, 4 September 2006 09:11 (nineteen years ago)

four weeks pass...
Did I, in a moon-brained daze, see and completely blank Mr Carsmile on Holloway Road on Saturday afternoon?

That's my fear.
