damn yall, i am now totally tempted to order this. it's import so hellaexpensive but i am craving for some veronica mars.

Can any Europeans on this thread tell me if they have the region 1 version of season 1, and if it works? I've heard people saying that it works on region 2 players despite being labelled region 1, but I want to be sure.

I have the region 1 and 2 boxes and it works on my UK player - there is usually a simple, googleable hack to make your DVD player multi-region.

(region 1 boxes for seasons 1 and 2 I mean)

No, because you will be so heartbroken and distraught that the subsequent seasons are sooooo awful in comparison to the utopian splendour of season 1 that the difference will cause you to wish you'd never seen the show and then kill yourself, or failing that, complain on a message board.

Oh, this show remembered how to be good, right at the end! I felt like it was actually better when it came back after the break.

Did anybody else feel like they were almost shopping it around to be picked up for another season by somebody else? I don't really know if that's likely or what's gone on or anything - it just all felt like set up to me. I wish we'd had some stuff like that from the beginning of series 3, that would have set the whole thing up well.

Rob Thomas is already talking a VM feature film ala Firefly/Serenity tradition.

My TiVO deleted the second storyline, I think, but I started on the last group of eps (with the Arab family) and it was really, really good. Looking forward to a more-Logan-free last six or seven.

I've finished watching all three series over the past couple of weeks. Marathon! I understand the flaws, but I still love, love, love it. And Logan - swoon! My kind of bo-hunk. Veronica's sarcasm did get a bit too bitchy towards the end, though. But I've perfected the braid from one side of the head to the other hairstyle that she'd been rocking.

Maybe my expectations were too high, so I need to get into it more, but I definitely do NOT regret having ordered this. We're watching two eps an evening (and have to resist watching more). Also, (to self) do NOT read too much of this thread. :-)

UK folks, series one is repeated on Living TV: weeknights at 2am, from Thursday the 19th of July onwards.

I watched the last four eps of season 1. I feel like a giddy teeenager now. Not completely, but the LoVe (hah!) romance really pushed the 15 year old teen button in me. I think this is what appeals to me so much, the fact they push several age buttons (for me anyway).

I checked and it's impossible to import season 3 boxset from amazon.co.uk. :-( How oh how will I survive after watching S2. I don't really care whether S2 is up to scratch, I am already more than happy with S1's brilliance.

I also feel ike a bit of a twit for posting on a thread that is about a cancelled show. :-(

I had a dream the other night that I got into a bit of a mix - someone was blackmailing me over old videos they were going to send to my boyfriend. And I remember distinctly saying "I need to get Veronica Mars's help!"

I dreamt I was swimming with Weevil. God, I'm going completely gaga over this show. That said, the S2 finale was... hmmm. I'm having withdrawel effects already. I solved this more or less by learning how to use BitTorrent and downloaded S3 (whichI will buy anyway once it's out in the US in October).

I'm still bittorrenting (is that even a verb) S3. I managed to do it but the first two eps were fucked. So I have to start all over. And then register DVD creator. I had to up my transfer limit on my DSL account... twice. hah.

I'd've been bummed about the lack of Keith in the show, although they could've plausibly kept him in the cast way more easily than Logan or any of VM's other high school/college classmates. I really wish they'd gotten the go-ahead to do that Season 4, even if it wouldn't have worked and been cancelled a year later, I really like the idea of a show like that just jumping ahead a few years in the chronology.
