It's hard to say what upset Lindsay Lohan more - that a Manhattan deli worker wouldn't surrender her phone or that he didn't know who she was.
The "Mean Girls" actress cursed out counterman Mohammed Hashan and called the cops when he dared to demand proof she was the owner of a left-behind BlackBerry, he said.
"I was just trying to be honest. Now I have police and trouble already," Hashan said Friday.
"Who is she? Is she a star? I'm no celebrity. I'm not nothing. I'm only a restaurant worker."
His brush with the high-strung starlet began when she popped into the Mott Corner Deli in Little Italy for a cup of ice and left without the phone.
Hashan, 37, sprinted after Lohan, and banged on the window of her cab.
"I said, 'Is this your phone?'" he recalled.
"She said, 'Yes.'
"I said, 'Give me proof because there were more customers. If this is your phone, you know the number. If it rings, I'll give it to you.'"
After Lohan made a failed grab for the phone, one of her pals tried to call. The phone didn't ring, and Hashan asked Lohan to look at security video with him.
She went nuts, he said.
"She said, 'I'm calling the police! I'm going to arrest you for not giving me my phone!'" he said.
Lohan pal Patrick Aufdenkamp dialed 911.
When cops rolled up, Hashan gave them the phone.
They unlocked it, saw a photo of Lohan, and gave it back to her, Hashan said.
