It is 1:18 PM Eastern Time.

I have not yet seen anyone film themselves shooting an AR-15 at a Taylor Swift album.

Come on maganuts, don't disappoint me. I need some totally unhinged behavior to point and giggle at.

stone cold jane austen (Ye Mad Puffin), Wednesday, 11 September 2024 17:21 (one year ago)

They’re still confused that a white woman would vote for a POC

Its big ball chunky time (Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved), Wednesday, 11 September 2024 17:22 (one year ago)

i was watching part of the CNN town hall with their "undecided voter" panel and there were moments where you realize these people just want everything spoonfed to them like a baby and they have absolutely no interest in doing the research themselves. there was a pastor that said neither of them gave anything of detailed substance so he was just going to ask for god's guidance and i wanted to slam my head into the wall.

slam his head into the wall

the talented mr pimply (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Wednesday, 11 September 2024 17:33 (one year ago)

I think people take the job of undecided voter very seriously. It's like serving on a jury. You can't let information affect your decision.

There’s a Monster in my Vance (President Keyes), Wednesday, 11 September 2024 17:34 (one year ago)

You have to expect that anyone who is a genuinely undecided voter at this stage has the political awareness of a squirrel and to the extent they have political opinions at all they are bound to be a compound of shallow, confused, and half-formed nonsense.

Some interesting developments where I live. None of these new districts apply to me; they're slightly to my north and east. (Whitefish is about an hour's drive from me, but so is everything.)

Instead of create and send out, it pull back and consume (unperson), Wednesday, 11 September 2024 17:45 (one year ago)

It's so funny how the news channels elevate panels of undecided voters to this "holy fool" status. These know-nothing morons are stood up on a pedestal for their almost entirely arbitrary decisions to be observed by an anxious nation. They're like the octopus that predicts world cup winners by randomly touching flags with his tentacles.

OneSecondBefore, Wednesday, 11 September 2024 17:47 (one year ago)

cnn anchor john king always talking about how the election is going to be decided "around the margins." motherfucker, none of this would be even close to around the margins if we just went by the popular vote and not let 7-8 states decide our country's future!

Western® with Bacon Flavor, Wednesday, 11 September 2024 17:50 (one year ago)

John may be a King but I doubt he has the power to single-handedly change the constitution

There’s a Monster in my Vance (President Keyes), Wednesday, 11 September 2024 17:54 (one year ago)

To be fair, the same can be said of a lot of decided voters.

Humanitarian Pause (Tracer Hand), Wednesday, 11 September 2024 17:56 (one year ago)

CNN undecided voter panel had one woman who decided she would vote from Trump and upon further questioning revealed she'd voted for him twice before and was already probably going to vote for him so like...why the fuck did you choose her as an 'undecided voter' cnn?

I? not I! He! He! HIM! (akm), Wednesday, 11 September 2024 17:57 (one year ago)

I'm gonna guess she lied to them

My favorite part of the pre-debate coverage was when Chris Christie appeared on screen and my son asked me if he was a crime boss.

If you are an experienced canvasser, you've frustratingly found that Undecided voters have an incomprehensibly-contradictory series of issue priorities, it's like they are the human embodiment of a box of split 7-inch singles ("safer streets for my kids to cross" b/w "wider roads with higher speed limits"; "We can't even tell jokes anymore!" b/w "how DARE you blasphemously mock religion!"; "lower my property taxes" b/w "no new construction anywhere near me"; "free healthcare" b/w "cut medicaid spending for unwed mothers"; "get government out of my bedroom" b/w "feminism ruined everything"; "cheap gas" b/w "I want a massive truck"; "no more wars" b/w "never forget 9/11 and bomb the bastards", you get the idea).

I eventually made peace with the fact that things completely unrelated to policy, like vibes, or which side looks like they are having - and will allow you to have - the most fun, determines their vote as much as whatever side of the issue they decide to support that day.

Oh, definitely! I was just hinting that wanting to slam your head against a wall when you hear these nincompoops is a form of unnecessary self-abuse. They're all like that and nothing will ever penetrate their invincible political ignorance.

here it comes

BIG news, Andrew:

Taylor Swift just endorsed Kamala Harris for President.

Will you join Taylor Swift in supporting Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign? A donation of $25 -- or any amount that’s right for you -- is the best way to have an impact right now

Thank you,
Kamala HQ

I can't stress this enough: no they don't. In politics there's often a massive gap between what people say they want and what they actually want. There is nobody on the planet less interested in policy details than the "undecided voter." pic.twitter.com/Z7o4CTGgHR

— Christopher Ingraham🦗 (@_cingraham) September 11, 2024

it would be one thing if they had polling indicating that a significant number of people even claim to feel this way. they don't. there are more journalists on the byline (3) than their are voters quoted in the article who support its central claim (2). pure ventriloquism.

Your grasp of the options is horrifyingly accurate imo. It's like I'm right back in every single community board meeting ever.

I'm open to explanations of how this is not otm but I fear very much that it is. But that's also why it matters which question you ask, in terms of getting survey data and having it mean anything.

Ima Gardener (in orbit), Wednesday, 11 September 2024 19:01 (one year ago)

Gotta love this guy:

As he watched post-debate commentary on cable news, Mr. Henderson said he bristled at the pundits who widely panned Mr. Trump’s performance. Had they watched the same debate, he wondered?

There’s a Monster in my Vance (President Keyes), Wednesday, 11 September 2024 19:06 (one year ago)

I am gonna take this one day to luxuriate in the knowledge that Donald “J” Trump is absolutely seething today. He cares DEEPLY about reviews

Humanitarian Pause (Tracer Hand), Wednesday, 11 September 2024 19:08 (one year ago)

But doesn't he only see the ones his minions print out for him?

henry s, Wednesday, 11 September 2024 19:22 (one year ago)

he watches cable news a lot

I'm sure OAN is very critical of his performance.

There’s a Monster in my Vance (President Keyes), Wednesday, 11 September 2024 19:31 (one year ago)

If there's one thing I'm fairly sure of, it's that he's got some means--a massive wall of computers in some underground bunker or something--to monitor every reaction everywhere to every single thing he ever does or says.

clemenza, Wednesday, 11 September 2024 19:31 (one year ago)

he def watches cnn prob msnbc too, he like tv, hes a bit of a tv critic

he's already threatened to go after ABC and have their FCC license revoked, something that just won't happen

Andy the Grasshopper, Wednesday, 11 September 2024 19:39 (one year ago)

The Federal Communications Commission does not license major broadcast networks such as ABC

Pierre Delecto, Wednesday, 11 September 2024 19:42 (one year ago)

We license only individual broadcast stations. We do not license TV or radio networks (such as CBS, NBC, ABC or Fox) or other organizations that stations have relationships with, such as PBS or NPR, except if those entities are also station licensees.
