She wasn't perfect, but she killed this thing. I was skeptical at first of her facial reactions, and I'm sure they bothered some people, but the strategy of watching and reacting to him on the split-screen I think turned out to be really smart. She was like an audience surrogate, leading people's reactions. She crushed him on the issues where he's weakest, and she just let him go on and on, she didn't petition the moderators to rein him in.

There will be a lot of bitching and assessment of the moderating, but this was mostly a give 'im enough rope-a-dope.

My only complaint is she needs more concrete policy ideas. She went back to the small business thing too much and not a lot else.

I didn’t think her own answers on any policy question were particularly great but she did what she needed to do and what for some reason other candidates have struggled with - put him in his place and draw attention to what a shitty alternative he actually is.

its so weird to see someone who is so incapable of speaking directly to voters. he refuses to do it. his whole final statement was directed at her. he never once made a statement to voters!

She did exactly what I hoped! Express policy issues, and add a statement to get Trump mad enough to rant about random shit to defend himself to where he offered nothing on policy. Damn, it's weird to get what you actually hoped for!
