Some ex-staff people are good going after Trump, but I wish they'd stay clear of Scaramucci. He comes on all sage and considered now, but I find it impossible to unremember his insane interviews during his time working for Trump--he was as bad as Spicer or anybody.

Have you learned nothing? The biggest lesson from the Age of Trump is that yesterday doesn't matter; what you say today, and how you present yourself today, is what counts. Scaramucci was a dangerous idiot for the few days that he had power; seven years later, he's just a funny little Joe Pesci guy who gets to go on cable and shit-talk Trump, and that's his only value, and the only context in which we need to think about him.

Harris seems to have taken this lesson to heart, though she should push it further. When some cable hack tries to pin her down on some shit she said in 2019 she should say, "It's 2024. Do you still believe everything you believed in 2019?"

As near as I can make out Romman is saying that activists aren't volunteering to work for Democratic campaigns because they are angry at Harris for acting too much like Biden? That's possible, but the leftist/activist faction was never going to be satisfied with any presidential candidate that has a chance of winning because, like the right wing of the Republicans, they do not want to compromise on any issue. But unlike the Republican right wing they are very poorly organized.

I always liked scaramucci for his brief employment as he seemed like they had finally found the correct guy to be emblematic of everything else. He was the right kind of fake, to borrow some language
