Democratic consultant @culvert has dropped a poll of Miami-Dade voters that shows that @VP Harris has a 15-point lead over Trump in that county. Trump lost the county to Biden in 2020 and to Clinton in 2016 although the margin was smaller in 20. But DeSantis flipped it in 2022.

Trump's sudden fear of outdoor crowds (if indeed that's what it is) is actually pretty understandable, I have friends who were shot at in Afghanistan, one of them was fine but another took a real long time to get over it. the fact that he was an inch away from getting his brains blown out on national TV probably does really spook him, sadly it is just impossible to feel any sympathy for him on this at all whatsoever

He's made at least three references to Harris's intelligence (including her not being as smart as Biden or--weirdly--Hillary). I wish he'd just get it out of his system and call her an idiot.

He's been bragging about the size of the Jan. 6 crowd for years and complaining about it being underreported, but in googling all I can find is that the AP said it was "more than 10,000 people." From the clips I remember seeing that day I don't remember any impression that it was a particularly large crowd. His inauguration had a lot more people than that (though a lot less than Obama did, as we all know).

Former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said Thursday that former President Trump’s “self-announced” press conference shows the GOP presidential nominee is “panicking.”

In a post on the social platform X, the ex-Trump aide said she suspects the former president is frustrated by the positive press attention Vice President Harris has gotten recently and wants to take back the spotlight.

“Re: Trump’s self-announced press conference today at 2 pm: He’s panicking,” wrote Grisham, who also served as White House communications director and as former first lady Melania Trump’s chief of staff and press secretary.

“I’ve seen this play many times,” she continued. “He thinks his team is failing him & no one can speak better/’save’ his campaign/defend him but him. He hates the coverage Harris is getting & thinks only he can fix it.”
