Heard someone on TV last night say that that is the real issue right now for him: that it's just driving him crazy right now that the excitement/fun/attention is elsewhere, and that's crowding out any other attempt to come up with some sort of strategy that might slow things down a bit.

If the graphics are hard to read, they're charts for online ad spend, first Google/YouTube and then Facebook/Instagram, for the end of July. The Harris campaign and the DNC are outspending the Trump campaign by something like 12 to 20 to 1. And the RNC isn't even on the chart. All their money is going right in Trump's pocket (or his lawyers' pockets). Republican House and Senate candidates are gonna be fucked with a capital F this year; there's no support coming for them at all, at least not from the party.

On Pelosi I think it's mostly about her instincts of what can be done under particular circumstances, andhow it can be done. Which of course could frustrate people who wanted to do things that she thought couldn't be done (see Green New Deal), but her win column looks pretty good. If Harris wins, that'll be quite the career capper.

multi-xps - trump is like the rest of us in that he's only seen AOC via video. the spark he's speaking about is the ability to abolish the flattening effect of video/microphone and come to life across that medium. he's got a great feel for that kind of charisma because he carefully studied how to simulate it.
