Swimming in the Seine immediately struck me as a bad idea. In their defense, if I had to jump into an urban river (like to escape a boat that was about to explode), I guess I'd rather it be the Seine's waters than anywhere else. Men's pole vaulting is a damn treat, pretty clear who will win but it's a good crew out there. And the way the women's discus competitors entered was pretty great, everyone was happy and hyped to be there!
