Donald Trump: Classic or Dud?

Sometimes the parties will stipulate to certain documents, especially in civil trials, but you almost always need a witness to testify to what is in a document or video or whatever. You can't just introduce free floating evidence and expect counsel to explain what it is. Counsel can't testify to the document.

In other words, it is very common for a document custodian from a company to testify as to record keeping practices in order to introduce the records into evidence.

The Trump campaign has removed two posts from its campaign website that Justice Merchan determined were violations of a gag order preventing Trump from attacking potential witnesses. Both posts involved Michael Cohen, Trump’s former personal lawyer and fixer. It appears that the seven social media posts that were also found to be violations of the gag order have been deleted as well. Justice Merchan ordered the posts' removal by this afternoon.

DONALD TRUMP’S CAMPAIGN STAFF has assembled a dozen dossiers on possible running mates, but they largely remain unopened by the presidential candidate, who’s conducting his own vetting process by asking friends, consultants, and insiders whom they think he should pick and why.
