Sometimes the parties will stipulate to certain documents, especially in civil trials, but you almost always need a witness to testify to what is in a document or video or whatever. You can't just introduce free floating evidence and expect counsel to explain what it is. Counsel can't testify to the document.

In other words, it is very common for a document custodian from a company to testify as to record keeping practices in order to introduce the records into evidence.

What a cuck, per NYT:
The Trump campaign has removed two posts from its campaign website that Justice Merchan determined were violations of a gag order preventing Trump from attacking potential witnesses. Both posts involved Michael Cohen, Trump’s former personal lawyer and fixer. It appears that the seven social media posts that were also found to be violations of the gag order have been deleted as well. Justice Merchan ordered the posts' removal by this afternoon.

On 22 July, Keith Davidson reached out to former National Enquirer editor Dylan Howard once again, writing:Don’t forget about Cohen. Time is of the essence. The girl is being cornered by the estrogen mafia.“Who is Cohen in this email?” prosecutor Joshua Steinglass asked. Davidson said Michael Cohen.“And what did you mean that time is of the essence?”Davidson said:I think at the time Karen (McDougal) was sort of teetering, she was about to enter into a deal with ABC.“What did you mean by the girl is being cornered by the estrogen mafia?”Davidson said:It’s a very unfortunate, regrettable text I sent. That phrase is not one that I used or came up with. That term, I think, was by one of Karen’s associates at that first meeting and there was several women who were leaning on Karen to sign the deal with ABC.

Rather an oily bunch here:
After being admonished for taking long breaks, Trump has come back in early, with his son Eric, adviser Susie Wiles, and the Texas attorney general Ken Paxton in tow, among others. Also with Trump’s entourage is David McIntosh, head of the anti-tax Club for Growth.
"Yeah can you come with me for support while hearing about my shoddy affairs and general tawdriness? Great, thanks."

From today's NYT trial updates:
Keith Davidson is now reading his texts with Dylan Howard aloud. One of them joked about hiring a Trump impersonator who had more money than Trump. Pressed on what that meant, Davidson, appearing deeply uncomfortable and choosing his words carefully, says he took it to mean that Trump was not as wealthy as he claimed.

Inside The Move to Maneuver Marco Rubio Into the VP Slot
DONALD TRUMP’S CAMPAIGN STAFF has assembled a dozen dossiers on possible running mates, but they largely remain unopened by the presidential candidate, who’s conducting his own vetting process by asking friends, consultants, and insiders whom they think he should pick and why.In these discussions, two names consistently rise to the top: Marco Rubio and J.D. Vance, who was this weekend the subject of a flattering story in the New York Times and has been pushed by Don Jr.But Rubio has strong support in Trump’s circle of advisers, especially among those with Florida ties. There’s just one problem.Trump and Rubio are both Florida Men.The Twelfth Amendment says that if the president and vice president inhabit the same state when the states’ electors cast their ballots (that’s on December 17 this year), the ticket could lose its Electoral College votes from that state (Florida has 30, 11 percent of the total needed to win the White House). It’s called the “favorite sons” prohibition.“Marco has this residency problem,” is how Trump describes it to others.

Trump and Rubio are both Florida Men.

i'm not going to say this is going to happen, but there is at least a 1 in 10,000 chance that he's going to reveal that he thinks he's at the Librarian National Convention, he'll riff on the library for a while until realizing, and then later will yell at everyone who points it out and say he always knew it was the Libertarian National Convention
