I thought about this thread recently as I was watching one of MacDowell’s daughters getting a ball repeatedly bounced off her head in Poor Things

imo Margaret Qualley can act a bit better but she definitely has some of her mom’s energy

Im leery of getting into criticising models-turned-actors (even if they were never actually models, iygwim) but demi moore is particularly bad, right?

Yes they do. I had no idea they were actually mother-daughter, but any time MacDowell was on screen I was too mesmerised by her "cartoon bipolar" performance in general to really think about her chemistry with Qualley. I think they're both great in that series fwiw.
