me and my babies. so nice to spend time with them while they are home for the break. we went next door to turners falls yesterday to the thrift store (ugh my kids really like to look at clothes for a long time), the new record store (ugh, i can really look at a lot of records), and the new book store which is awesome and hip and they have another store in brooklyn. fun! i bought some Cioran to get into the holiday spirit.

no, that's my spot in the picture. unnameable is very cool though. had to stop myself from buying books about russian prison tattoos. so many great art/design/music/poetry books.

scott, I love that photo! How old is your oldest?

Rufus turned 21 this month. Long-hair Cyrus is 18. Rufus is still at McGill in Montreal. Cyrus is at MassArt in Boston. It has been so much fun having them here. They are awesome.

omg my boss' daughter went to McGill and just graduated -- i wonder if they know each other?!?!

did rufus, in his first year, live in molson or mcconnell or . . . the other one?

in his first year he was home on a computer due to the pandemic. he tried to go there and live in temporary housing in a hotel that they had set up for students but there was no point because he could never leave his room or see anybody so he came back home. it was sad. when he went back he lived in an apartment with other people. so he never lived in a dorm. he has a sweet scholarship and McGill pays for his housing. i think he's moving into his 4th different apartment with other people in january.
