i don't know i find them compelling! they are like one-act plays. i think Artaud would approve. i do enjoy seeing jerks get comeuppance. that's probably not right though. i don't think the psychic damage is too severe. i only watch jerky white people acting jerky. i watched so many Karen videos during pandemic.

I got sucked into these kinds of vids around the pandemic, not good for my soul, most compelling for me was watching that one Florida dude get arrested again and again for impersonating the police. sometimes I don’t know if I hate fake cops or real cops more.

there is one where this douche-y looking guy will not leave an airport after he is told to leave and they must ask him to leave like 50 times and finally they wrestle him to the ground and take him outside and he has all kinds of shady shit in his backpack. false identities. tons of other people's credit card info. laptops. 6 phones. tons of cash. i just could not believe that he was that dumb. how could anyone that shady be that dumb? it was amazing. he could have just walked out like it was no big deal.

the mask ones are still fascinating to me. i hope someone writes a good book or article about mask psychosis. it often involved race. just really bizarre behavior. the pandemic brought so much stuff to the surface. one woman in an airport who won't leave because she won't mask just repeating "am i white?" "am i white?" over and over.

i do feel like i'm looking at it as sociology. i stay away from cops and people of color, the poor, and the obviously mentally ill for the most part. it feels more exploitative like Cops was. but watching so many, uh, red state folks just losing their minds...is informative. its a phenomena.

listening to some old radio shows! they are actually good work listening. easy enough for me to listen and also do my Discogs work. listening to a good Dragnet. the channel i am on has, like, 200 episodes of Dragnet alone! fun. probably going to come across lots and lots of racism. i just like how they sound. i think the reason why i have never listened to podcasts or books on CD is because its TOO clear in an ASMR way. it ends up getting on my nerves. the fuzzy stuff from the 30s and 40s and 50s is JUST right clarity-wise.

yeah kinda the same reason I still listen to sports on the AM, such a wonderful soothing squashed sound

yeah there is nothing like baseball on AM. or local college sports on AM.

aw man i started watching bogan aussie ex-con rapper Spanian for his vids on street food and tough neighborhoods around the globe and i thought...man i hope he doesn't turn out to be alt-right and then i see the beginning of a Vice doc on him that has a disclaimer about Spanian's homophobic rants on instagram and how he's been dropped by his agent/label/etc..and that was my last day with Spanian. he was funny. and i did enjoy seeing that insane neighborhood waaaaaay the hell up a mountain in medellin columbia as well as as one in sao paulo.

My ads are so weird. For years now I’ve been getting various products aimed at ladies with leakage and tons of pharmaceutical lobby ads from all angles of the drug pricing debate. And then the occasional ad for a grocery chain that’s nowhere near me. So I got the Wegman’s whistle jingle stuck in my head and had a dream last night in which Novo Nordisk featured prominently enough for me to remember it.

i pay for super youtube with no ads and youtube music. its definitely worth it since i'm such a YTJunkie.
