his rants about the judge devaluing his properties are irrelevant, the figure isn't a selling price it's what the tax appraisers decide it's value is for their purposes. I don't know fuck all about law but I know a pointless, completely null defense argument when I see one.

in the article it said that youre supposed to submit a form saying whether you want a jury trial or not and they did not submit the form, however the prosecution did submit the form and asked for a bench trial, so yea seems like a oopsie

Yeah, but it doesn't work retroactively. His argument was, iirc, even if it wasn't worth a lot *then* it is *now*, but whatever value was added came *after* it was overvalued. And then there's flat-out fuckery like saying Trump Tower had three times as much space as was assessed. I believe there was some reporting that as soon as the overestimation of square footage came out, Trump Inc. stopped lying about it.

Can't believe this has to keep being said but can we maybe focus on Trump's being a hateful, racist, fraudulent wannabe-dictator and maybe not crack jokes about his weight, as those won't hurt him but might make others feel shit?

Yup - it's shit like making fun of people's weight that is the reason we hate Trump.

Agree that there are lots of other avenues to attack that individual.

I am, however, mildly okay with at least some petty snipes at Trump, because he deals in them. And lo, it is written: thou shalt not disheth it out if thou cannot taketh it.

If he is going to deal in petty appearance-based slights about Liddle Marco or about his rape accusers not being Tens, then one can be forgiven for some of the (admittedly pretty juvenile) slights about the size of his hands or his stupid "hair" or the degeneracy of his diet or his ketchup/well-done steak habit or whatever.

Of course I don't condone any line of attack that makes decent, innocemt people feel hurt. But... Trump has taken the low road so many times that I am not sure we're obliged to take the high road where he is concerned.
