Steve Bannon suggested Sunday that a presidential ticket with former President Trump (R) as president and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (D) as vice president could result in “a massive landslide.”
And it's just weird enough that it might become a reality

“Tensions flared…with pro-Trump protesters denouncing the move (to change the delegate-selection process), police getting called and two factions nearly coming to fisticuffs,” the report said.

Most states deprive convicted felons of many of their civil rights, including the right to vote. These rights are usually restored upon release, unless you have the misfortune to live in a state like Florida, which in an example of its endless fuckery won't restore them until the felon pays court costs, restitution, etc.
A felony conviction is no bar to running for President of the United States. The Senate could have convicted Trump in the second impeachment and prohibited from ever running for federal office again. Short of that, he'd have to be found to have engaged in rebellion.
― immodesty blaise (jimbeaux), Tuesday, 1 August 2023 21:48 (two years ago)
that's the trick, you have to stay convicted, then you can do whatever you want. once you stop being convicted is the problem

Smith: The attack on our nation's capital on January 6th was an unprecedented assault on the seat of American democracy. It's described in the indictment. It was fueled by lies.
