ums posted in the Jeopardy thread about Ken Jennings crossing the WGA picket line, so I thought I'd see what ppl on Twitter were saying about it. But the search appears to be truly fucked, like "No results for 'Ken jennings'" fucked. Searching for info on Reddit instead (by appending "reddit" to a Google search) was much more fruitful.

mods were slow to catch and ban a poster whose screen name and content consisted of slurs and deliberately violent hostility, and also slow and also undeft delivering a solution (= a banned-words list for screen names)

also the poster was somewhat jack-adjacent

i mean so i read, i too only picked up echoes of it, but from chatty shitposters who are usually quick to spot such stuff and summarise it

It’s good these folks are shining a light on casual bigotry early on but as for a “posting strike” I can pretty much guarantee corporate would like nothing more than to hit mute on this entire debacle. Sorry but I seriously doubt enough users care enough to significantly impact their traffic.
