its been said before in this thread but I don't think the right has another J6 in them, the first one went so incredibly poorly
― frogbs, Monday, 12 June 2023 18:45 (three years ago)
nah, it was all a set-up to lose the dead weight. the next batch of assholes will be extra hardcore.
― Josh in Chicago, Monday, 12 June 2023 18:46 (three years ago)
Just think, if they riot at the courthouse and get themselves thrown in prison then they can be part of Trump's prison gang
― INDEPENDENTS DAY BY STEVEN SPILBERG (President Keyes), Monday, 12 June 2023 18:48 (three years ago)
yeah, considering it accomplished nothing but getting participants arrested and fired from their jobs, i'm not sure how gung-ho they'd be for a part 2.

Seeing as these folks proudly fly old Dixie and Nazi flags, they obviously don't care about being on the successful side.
― citation needed (Steve Shasta), Monday, 12 June 2023 18:57 (three years ago)
last time around they actually had the belief that the Trump-lead military and government was going to be on their side. which of course happened but not to the degree that they succeeded. now they don't even have that.
the average person wants to go to see Zach Brown Band on Saturday and you can't do that dead or in jail
― the manwich horror (Neanderthal), Monday, 12 June 2023 19:00 (three years ago)
one thing's for sure every time something happens that's unambiguously bad for Trump a bunch of insane right-wing assholes (and the New York Times) will scream about how it's actually good for him
― frogbs, Monday, 12 June 2023 19:00 (three years ago)
I dunno, man, Trump supporter Pat looks like he's been storing up potential energy on that La-Z-Boy for the past 62 years and waiting like a cobra for the moment to strike.
― Beautiful Bean Footage Fetishist (Old Lunch), Monday, 12 June 2023 19:02 (three years ago)
Did that fuckwad say that if Trump gets indoctrinated January 6 is gonna look like a playground?
― henry s, Monday, 12 June 2023 19:03 (three years ago)
At this point there are plenty of extreme right LARPers who'll jabber ominously if you put a camera on them and invite them to tell the world how fearsome they are. My sense is that the more competent leadership, capable of forming a plan of action with a ghost of a chance, the type who have relevant military or police training, have either been indicted & convicted or have burrowed themselves deeper underground and are waiting for a more favorable moment such as might be provided with a close election or Trump back in office.
the first one went so incredibly poorly
I disagree. When you consider how small the central core of the conspirators was and how small a force they had at their disposal, they came unbelievably close to success. They nearly handed Trump a pretext for declaring a state of emergency. They expected him to use that gift to complete their coup d'etat. What they failed to understand was that Trump is incompetent. And very lazy. And by far the wrong person to trust to pull his weight.
― more difficult than I look (Aimless), Monday, 12 June 2023 19:09 (three years ago)
admittedly I'm not that well read up on what the plan actually *was* but I thought something like that would depend on Republicans going along with it in lockstep when in fact they were all scared out of their minds
― frogbs, Monday, 12 June 2023 19:16 (three years ago)
That moron in the clip does have a distinctive voice, he'd be a nice baritone for the next Trump prison-gang song grift.
― henry s, Monday, 12 June 2023 19:16 (three years ago)
xxpost That judge was right to emphasize how dangerous someone like Stewart Rhodes is, because he's (apparently) charismatic, smart and driven. Even if one were to concede the first trait in Trump's case, he sure as hell ain't the other two things.

guessing the turnout will be higher than it was in New York but I'm still not sure if there will be more reporters or Trump supporters

Well, it's Florida, for starters.

Is this courthouse on the water? Could be a lot of idiots on boats, they do love a good boat parade.
― henry s, Monday, 12 June 2023 19:45 (three years ago)
I’m leaning heavily toward “more reporters”
― tobo73, Monday, 12 June 2023 19:46 (three years ago)
More reporters from places with names like FreedomNews.
― Josh in Chicago, Monday, 12 June 2023 19:48 (three years ago)

bullies everywhere know that people who are scared out of their minds will often go ahead and eat the bug when you tell them to.

Is that the 62yo civil war threatenin Trumpo above in this clip?

that's the same guy. he's a publicity hog inspired by all the cameras. with all the photographers he knew he couldn't get physical or he'd risk arrest and conviction so he just yelled a lot.

i hope an elephant falls out of the sky and lands on him, and fuses together with his body, so that at his funeral, his loved ones will have to choose between an open casket funeral with everyone seeing his head buried deep inside a dead elephant, or a closed casket.
and because of the elephant and him fusing, the casket will have to have enormous proportions and they will have to pay like 300,000 dollars for it and someone will raise it for them and then steal the money and donate it to an LGBTQ+ charity in his name.
