yeah to be fair i don't think this is a marketing thing. running a twitter-like service is hard operationally. they've set up invites so they will double in users every two weeks, which is already pretty fast.

This is how I feel. I tried Mastodon; I didn't like it. I joined a couple of Discord servers; I don't like those. I use Substack Notes because I'm communicating with people who already subscribe to my newsletter, so that makes sense to me. But Bluesky seems to be attracting a lot of the people I hate on Twitter, so fuck that.
