New via AJC: Fulton County DA Fani Willis tells law enforcement to expect a decision on whether Trump will be charged over his efforts to overturn 2020 election results between July 11 and September 1.

Willis revealed the timetable in a letter to local law enforcement in which she asked them to be ready for “heightened security and preparedness” because she predicted her announcement “may provoke a significant public reaction.”

It's like he can't hide his general resentment of the world and dislike of being questioned, and can only react with sarcasm. I do wonder what that cut in the middle of the video is about, though, so it seems like the video has been altered at least a little to cut out something in the middle

lol yeah prior to this brouhaha Disney was very persona non grata in my circle for how they treated international exchange employees during the pandemic, as well as how poorly they pay and treat their employees (when compared to Universal Studios).

Neanderthal, my man: I was reflexively anti-Disney for most of my life. But in perhaps 2018, my wife and children sat me down and basically told me that there was a narrow window in which we would, collectively, be likely to enjoy a vacation in that allegedly magical place, and we needed to do it exactly then.

So I obligingly contributed something like eight thousand dollars to your local economy. (You're welcome.) We had an okay time. My children outgrew everything Disney-related. After that I didn't ever want to think about the Mouse again, and now here I am thinking about MouseCorp again. Fuck you, Ron.

i actually went last month! had been my first time in like 15 years, lol.

I went to Disneyland when I was about five and have almost no memory of it other than the submarine ride and the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, which was a little scary. I went to Disney World when I was 10 — I remember that one a little better, because EPCOT had just opened. It was fine. I enjoyed watching the Disney TV show as a kid way more than I did going to the actual parks.

All that said, I hope Disney steamrolls DeSantis until he's personally on the street shaking a cup for coins.

DeSantis seems hellbent on being the most despised politician in the country, which doesn't bode well for his political future
