its kina unclear to me exactly what happened cause they did have very strong evidence towards him being a chronic online cheater and he even admitted to doing it a few times but then chess dot com went and let him back on to the site, the evidence for live cheating was not nearly as strong and he was never banned from live play, he sued magnus et al for defaming him which seemed pretty lame and now magnus agreed to play him again, seems like all sides were just ready to move on which is understandable, but chess.com letting him back on after making such a strong public case that he was a big time cheater is pretty weak imho

seems like he successfully bullied them all via the the legal system

I'm astonished to learn that over 99% of games played on chess.com are speed games - even given you could fit in 100 or more in the time it takes to play a single one or three day limit game.

i dont play on chess dot com but just doing a lil googling and they categorize all of their default time controls except "daily" which is kind of a correspondence game i guess as speed so it kinda stands to reason
