wonder how much of Roman's reactions came from the horror of his final words to Logan being that voicemail. does an irrational part of him even wonder if he killed him lol

imago, Tuesday, 11 April 2023 20:26 (three years ago)

oh he def does yeah

lag∞n, Tuesday, 11 April 2023 20:27 (three years ago)

which is silly cause logan wouldve savored that voicemail lol

lag∞n, Tuesday, 11 April 2023 20:27 (three years ago)

anyway I'm stoked for the toxicology report

imago, Tuesday, 11 April 2023 20:31 (three years ago)

the reading of the will is surely going to be wild

like he leaves everything to his dog or something

couldn’t get it up, cialis did his heart in, his removed shirt is covering a post mortem hardon

thanks for that unwanted image

werewolves of laudanum (VegemiteGrrl), Tuesday, 11 April 2023 21:34 (three years ago)

absolutely wild how long it took anyone to tell con! shiv was giving ken and roman a hard time for how long it took them to tell her, but.... when anyone finally realises they need to tell con it's like an afterthought. he's not in the business so he doesn't count

Tracer Hand, Tuesday, 11 April 2023 21:42 (three years ago)

and i love how totally incapable willa is of lying to him. she is impeccably honest

Tracer Hand, Tuesday, 11 April 2023 21:43 (three years ago)

love that whole conversation between them, like even her little joke “well, not today anyway” about running away

there’s something about Con, the way Ruck plays him, that i just love so much
he has such a deep well of sadness in him, not even sadness, like, sorrow? melancholy? like charlie brown. but he tries very hard to disguise it & seem very surface & materialistic.
but you always can kind of see it.
i know as a character he’s often comic relief & in general just kind of weird but i think it’s his inherent sadness that i enjoy v much

werewolves of laudanum (VegemiteGrrl), Tuesday, 11 April 2023 22:18 (three years ago)

Agree, extremely sad character and even in an episode full of despair he’s telling you about how Scrooge was a wealth creator

limb tins & cum (gyac), Tuesday, 11 April 2023 22:22 (three years ago)

"they never tell you that"

"how convenient"

Tracer Hand, Tuesday, 11 April 2023 22:38 (three years ago)

he’s fucking heavily delayed

it's a character that could have gone wrong so many times and ruck just sticks the landing scene after scene after scene

from a Brian Cox interview:

There’s intentional vagueness about the timeline of Logan’s death in this episode. Do you think he heard Roman’s final “Fuck you” voice-mail?

No, it was too late.

Tracer Hand, Wednesday, 12 April 2023 08:59 (three years ago)

Yeah I didn’t think that mattered so much as how a Roman felt about it

limb tins & cum (gyac), Wednesday, 12 April 2023 09:07 (three years ago)

Yeah he's clearly pretty ruined by it

Wow, what a loser.

Chewshabadoo, Wednesday, 12 April 2023 14:50 (three years ago)

unfortunately this was spoiled for me by news outlets before I got a chance to watch, but wow what a ride.

my favorite part was kendall on the phone to his assistant asking for a conference call to be organized with the airplane medicine expert and the best heart doctor in america, and he wants the invite out in the next 2 minutes. 100% chance his assistant was in fact able to organize a call for later that day, and 100% chance that kendall just ignores it.

you cant talk to the pilot son hes flying the plane

well just make sure he does it right

lag∞n, Wednesday, 12 April 2023 15:13 (three years ago)

season 1 feels like a billion years ago, easy to forget that kendall and frank have (had?) an actual mentor/mentee relationship and that frank backed kendall during his takeover attempt

ludicrously capacious bag (voodoo chili), Wednesday, 12 April 2023 15:35 (three years ago)

Love when Frank punched the wall of the airplane after Kendall asked to speak to the pilot

omar little, Wednesday, 12 April 2023 15:46 (three years ago)

there's also this bit when connor first enters the war room where roman awkwardly takes connor's hand to comfort him, it almost looks like roman tripped or something. felt like a really pitch perfect expression of roman feeling guilty that they hadn't told connor until now and trying to overcompensate by being the compassionate brother he never was

, Wednesday, 12 April 2023 15:50 (three years ago)

Also Roman being skeeved out by physical contact with another human being.

dinnerboat, Wednesday, 12 April 2023 19:21 (three years ago)

the way Frank talks to/handles Kendall in that gentle fatherly way is so good, knowing that Frank is simultaneously ready to strangle hom

werewolves of laudanum (VegemiteGrrl), Wednesday, 12 April 2023 19:31 (three years ago)

wonder how much of Roman's reactions came from the horror of his final words to Logan being that voicemail.

the horror of realizing that Logan will not, in fact, see you next Tuesday

Guayaquil (eephus!), Wednesday, 12 April 2023 19:46 (three years ago)

I wonder if it took time for Armstrong et al to decide whether or not Roman would be on the flight (as Logan had requested of him) rather than be with the siblings at the wedding.

underwater as a compliment (Eazy), Wednesday, 12 April 2023 20:50 (three years ago)

Nice touch that Shiv had been sent some time before to tell Connor that Logan wasn't coming to the wedding but she was just out there making small talk with randoms instead.

Solid episode, hard to follow up the previous one. Kendall up to his same old rhythms

hrep (H.P), Monday, 17 April 2023 04:53 (three years ago)

it was def crossed out

a (waterface), Monday, 17 April 2023 12:19 (three years ago)

but is it better to be on the paper and crossed out than not on the paper at all ...

that's not my post, Monday, 17 April 2023 14:25 (three years ago)

The ambiguity of it is a perfect inheritance for Kendall — a final sign of acceptance and endorsement from his father, which he craves, but one that still manages to feel provisional and uncertain.

why would he underline, was he just really proud of kendall one day?

ludicrously capacious bag (voodoo chili), Monday, 17 April 2023 14:50 (three years ago)

lol @ the repeated mentions of 'a piece of paper'. I have wondered at times if Logan had a standing nightly call with his lawyer to update his will based on who was in and out of favor that day, but figured it was much more likely that he just planned on living forever and wouldn't leaving anything official (and of course that's better for the show).

change display name (Jordan), Monday, 17 April 2023 14:54 (three years ago)

Karl just going all in on Tom was amazing, really underscoring that Logan really was only drawing him closer to fuck with Shiv and that not one other person takes him seriously at all.

Maxmillion D. Boosted (jon /via/ chi 2.0), Monday, 17 April 2023 15:10 (three years ago)

It was also payoff for Tom snitching out the three kids' plans at the end of S3. Logan probably respected a guy willing to sell out his own wife.

a man often referred to in the news media as the Duke of Saxony (tipsy mothra), Monday, 17 April 2023 15:15 (three years ago)

For sure, just the way Karl absolutely crushed all of his misconceptions about his actual status in less than thirty seconds.

Maxmillion D. Boosted (jon /via/ chi 2.0), Monday, 17 April 2023 15:17 (three years ago)

And Tom's last gambit to try and reconnect with Shiv, and her shutting him down despite acknowledging that she has zero friends or family who are really on her side (while being pregnant!), just brutal.

change display name (Jordan), Monday, 17 April 2023 15:24 (three years ago)

also gotta say, another phenomenal episode

a (waterface), Monday, 17 April 2023 15:28 (three years ago)

The disparity between Tom and Greg flailing around in this episode was striking, like somehow Greg (even minus the whole "addendum on the piece of paper" thing) has moved even about Tom in the pecking order. Sure, his ingratiating sucking up is still pathetic, but all the dismissals from the family just kind of slide off his back, but Tom looked absolutely pathetic as he worked his way through the kids.

Maxmillion D. Boosted (jon /via/ chi 2.0), Monday, 17 April 2023 15:43 (three years ago)

Roman seemed to have a more alt-right undercut than he’s had before, if I haven’t just missed it before now.

underwater as a compliment (Eazy), Monday, 17 April 2023 16:47 (three years ago)

Greg’s incessant pandering made me physically uncomfortable lol

werewolves of laudanum (VegemiteGrrl), Monday, 17 April 2023 20:14 (three years ago)
