Last I heard the idea was it would either happen yesterday or tomorrow. But of course who knows.

Maybe Trump has gotten so used to talking about himself in the third person that he confused Trump with someone else and was just relaying some internet rumor he read about someone named Trump being arrested. The same thing happens all the time among the Smurfs.

it is kinda funny how many people just jumped on this based on what Trump said on Truth Social

eh, there's quite a lot of reporting from multiple independent reporters that it's happening.

tbf that could have been prompted by trump attemtping to incite all 50 of his remaining supporters to riot.

but the reporting about the activity of the grand jury seems pretty concrete at this point.

obvs these are particular circumstances but normally once a grand jury is convened charges are almost guaranteed

You're only arrested if you're indicted and don't voluntarily surrender.

It's going to be hard for him to claim victory if he voluntarily surrenders, even though he obviously won't be detained and won't be perp walked.

Trump being perp-walked in cuffs is a delicious fantasy but it will forever remain just that, a fantasy.

He only brings up the possibility so that he can boast about it not happening
