OK mods can now deindex threads. Note that all this does is puts something in the thread to instruct Google and the like to either not index it, or to deindex it - it'll take time if it's already indexed and there's no guarantee that any given search engine will take notice of the deindex instruction.

It depends really. It's not to do with ILX or ILX2, but more to do with whether or not you've been using the same email address, so yours and Ned's stats are correct for the email address/login ID you're currently using.

Billy, I suppose it would be possible - might seem a little strange though - do you mean to have say the 200 most recent threads, but not ordered by how recent they are, but in alphabetical order?

Keith, yes. Sometimes I know a thread has been updated recently but can't find it straight away, being able to place them in order could be useful in finding it.

It would be nice to be able to skip directly to the most recent time jump on a thread, rather than having to scroll up and down for ages to find it.

OK, it's not hard to sort them but might have to think about how you choose that option. Bear in mind that some threads are going to weirdly disappear from the middle when they're sorted (as they drop out of the top 200).

You can turn polls off for boards, so I guess this is what's happened here. Why someone did that for IRE, I don't know... Anyone else know?

not a fan of the bullets thing, but maybe it's just my stylesheet. I don't really like having some thread I clicked on once but will probably never read again more leftwards on the page than everything else... sticks out too much.

would it be an idea to turn img tags into links for posts older than (say) 7 days (with option to turn back on)? would make threads like WDYLL so much easier to open, or when you're trying to look for an old post quickly in the football thread but when you display all messages and ctrl-f you'll find the bit you want but then it gets bumped off the screen as the old images get loaded up top.

It's easy enough to get a list of names, but as someone says upthread, would be a bit odd to display it.

Ken, I think that might work for the specific case you're talking about, but would probably annoy people in most cases. Maybe there's a way to indicate it, or to easily toggle images hiding or something. I'm having to add in a new menu bar for Billy's alphabetical thing anyway, so maybe it's a place to put it.

Oh heavens. The menu bar is too long already.
