Bethany Mandel deserves an eternity of misery and trauma.

Ms. Mandel may be an overly rigid and harshly judgemental person who is belligerently proud of her bad politics, but she is correct that a person on a ventilator undergoing a life-threatening major infection and cascading failures of multiple vital organs (as she describes her mother being at the time) is predictably going to die in a matter of days or weeks, regardless of treatment. The idea of anyone 'making a recovery' under such circumstances is nothing but a false hope. The only indeterminate factor is how long and agonizing their remaining time will be before they die. Responsible physicians would have made that clear to her at the time.

I do think calling justified euthanasia "killing your mom" just to dunk on some minor evil dipshit is maybe tactically dumb, but that doesn't seem to be the objection here.
