Thanks guys! Never in a million years did I think I would get one of these. Once I had the right country, it didn't take too long to scoot through high-level, split-lane motorways looking for an adjacent roundabout - I started off with less-obvious cities first in fact.

It's definitely Sweden, I think... too prominent a "-vägen" is visible on that sign. Looks like it could be Eriksvägen but there is no roadway by that name that resembles this neighbourhood

I gotta get back to work so I'm just going to guess Landskrona and hope I'm right

yeah i assumed denmark or sweden once i saw the signage though i couldnt read the actual text on the street sign. doesnt look like a major city to me with those road conditions unless its pretty far out of the city center

I found something similar to the house on the left in the first photo but it didn't lead anywhere fruitful

yes, you literally proceed from Eriksvägen to Kyrkogårdsvägen (Churchyard Road) - I have been roaming these roads, but no luck here either

ive been looking at cemeteries since that seems like the most specific of the 3 photos in that theres few per city, been hard to find one with a hill like that

its definitely not Eriksvägen, it's something like Er_s_vägen and that first blank could be 2 letters

i guess its not impossible for the first letter to be K and not E as well

What it looks closest to is "Erik s:t vägen"

"s:t" being the Sverige abbreviation for "Sankt" (a.k.a. Saint)

I have found "S:t Erik Vägen" in other places in Sweden (and a few "Sankt Erik Vägen") but no incidence of "Erik S:t Vägen" or any reason why the placement of the honorific would be reversed like that, if it is in fact an "s:t" that I'm seeing

I took great care with the visible text in the first image, and then I could have kicked myself when I realised I left that street sign in at the edge of picture #3. But at least it caused a bit of confusion.

I have walked down the road in these pictures many times. I realise it looks a bit grim from these views, but if you go on past Parkgrillen, you reach the bustling harbour town, the first and biggest stop in the archipelago for all the boats from Stockholm. There is a large fortress, many shops and cafes, a beach, loads of tourists. Vaxholm does feel very much like a town rather than a city, but as breastcrawl just pointed out, it clings to its tenuous city designation, hence qualifying for the competition.

That was a good one, and I was pretty wide of the mark, I'd found a few false trails in Gothenburg and was too reluctant to let it go and focus elsewhere
