I'm pretty sure that's a sculpture in the middle of the roundabout but I've had no luck searching

I've been to Tallinn 3 times for work and I felt like this looked almost too Soviet to be Estonian but I think I found it, and I think it's Narva.

I had never heard of Narva before - I am not proud of this fact - but the Today Programme on Radio 4 had a feature from there this morning. IS that a weird coincidence or is Cherry Blossom making the news as well as the GTC thread?

Pretty desolate looking place, aside from the main tourist attraction of the castle. And Russia on the other side of the river

Its majority Russian there, I believe? Does it feel distinct from rest of Estonia? I read that Daugavpils in Latvia is pretty integrated despite being majority Russian speaking, but not sure on Narva

Yeah, it’s almost entirely Russian-speaking, though signs, shop labelling, etc, legally have to be in Estonian. It feels very different culturally, architecturally and financially from Tallinn and Tartu.

Thanks guys! Never in a million years did I think I would get one of these. Once I had the right country, it didn't take too long to scoot through high-level, split-lane motorways looking for an adjacent roundabout - I started off with less-obvious cities first in fact.

It's definitely Sweden, I think... too prominent a "-vägen" is visible on that sign. Looks like it could be Eriksvägen but there is no roadway by that name that resembles this neighbourhood

I gotta get back to work so I'm just going to guess Landskrona and hope I'm right

yeah i assumed denmark or sweden once i saw the signage though i couldnt read the actual text on the street sign. doesnt look like a major city to me with those road conditions unless its pretty far out of the city center

I saw the first just before I went out and was thinking Northern Germany or Denmark, but I now concur on Sweden

I found something similar to the house on the left in the first photo but it didn't lead anywhere fruitful

I think it might be Sundbyberg as there's a cemetery next to an Eriksvagen but can't find the other details.

I'm on board with vägen for multiple reasons but I'm pretty wary about this Erik business
