yeah I had a 0% lager beer with a curry I made the other day and it was more than decent and have never tried one before

no-alcohol beer I've tried has ranged from horrible to ok, the best substitute I've found is kvass, which you can find in most supermarkets in the Polish section.

thing i no longer care about: vacations. cos every one I take from work gets ruined, every single damn one. we've had a dad ER visit just about every time I've been off (except one time this year).

not to get into a big argument here, but this is the point about AI art I understand the least. I've seen so many stunning and weird images come out of the AI world over the past year+. I think it's a mistake to look at it as a replacement for this or that other type of art, and just see it as it's own medium that generates it's own strange aesthetics.

I think I've just gotten weary of the sheer amount of it - it's just everywhere on the internet now, and it's hard for me to stay interested at this point

AI only creates images, not art. An AI-generated image becomes art only through the agency of a human who selects it and 'sponsors' it as art.

Add: if the human sponsor is a bad artist, they will only be capable of selecting and sponsoring 'bad AI art'. This was always true of bad artists. What AI adds to this process of making bad art is mind-boggling speed and ease, so thousands of images can be generated in a single workday. This sucks.

On my social media feed, the AI art battle is being fought by two sides that equally have no fucking idea what they're talking about.

it's an extremely annoying argument, like there are obviously ethical questions involved, and there's also lots of shitty art floating around, but it's also just a new and unique medium and has already been the source of some really cool stuff and will continue to develop in weird unexpected ways. it's neither the end of the world or any better than anything else.

the ones acting the smuggest about it are the ones sharing info that is laughably wrong, even by the very very little I know about it.

they think someone is cramming framed art into a cd rom drive piece by piece and it's coming back out as new art

the AI art bothers me less than the AI writing which is clearly eventually going to be a big issue in academic settings.

it's just the people who are screaming about AI Art weren't doing it after Dall*E came out and other things like that, they waited for Lensa AI to get popular and their friends to start posting selfie art, and THEN they started moaning. because it's a chance to smugly brag about how you're not stupid enough to pay $4 for AI art in which the privacy agreement might be sketch (just like literally every app on the planet, including Facebook), and how also you're a true art aficionado and not ripping artists off like everyone else.
