I solved Redactle Unlimited in 3 guesses with an accuracy of 100% and a time of 00:05:36.

[one of the book titles looked like it might be a ____ history of ____ so I guessed that thinking it might be a historian but once the word appeared it was obvious.

I solved Redactle Unlimited in 46 guesses with an accuracy of 84.78% and a time of 00:24:04.
got to ‘A Brief History of Time’ around guess #25, but had to rack my brain for another 20 to remember who it was by and what their actual name was, because I can be slow like that

i did the exact same thing as leee, wasn't until fiction came up near empty that i was like hm let's reassess, why is time in here so much"

Clay, Monday, 28 November 2022 20:08 (three years ago)

Got it in 33, I was on the TV/science track but when I added Star Trek and Sagan that made it click.

Stoop Crone (Trayce), Tuesday, 29 November 2022 05:12 (three years ago)

G. D’Arcy Cheesewright (silby), Tuesday, 29 November 2022 06:14 (three years ago)

G. D’Arcy Cheesewright (silby), Tuesday, 29 November 2022 18:55 (three years ago)

got it in 44, which frankly, my dear, is not very impressive at all.

I solved Redactle Unlimited in 29 guesses with an accuracy of 68.97% and a time of 00:31:30.

237: You solved Redactle Unlimited in 10 guesses with 90% accuracy and a time of 00:00:32!

Because of the italicized title, my first suspicion was that it was the NY Times, but seeing that that wasn't the answer but NY still had a lot of hits, I knew I was in the right place. However, I did guess "journal" thinking maybe it was an academic publication.

Rabbity Gainsborough (Leee), Tuesday, 29 November 2022 20:28 (three years ago)

wait howdid you know re italicized?

Stoop Crone (Trayce), Wednesday, 30 November 2022 04:00 (three years ago)

The boxes were slanted, in addition to the unredacted The.

Rabbity Gainsborough (Leee), Wednesday, 30 November 2022 04:07 (three years ago)

Man I need to pay more attention haha.

Stoop Crone (Trayce), Wednesday, 30 November 2022 06:03 (three years ago)

First time I've played in a while I was thrown off by the italics, I don't think of italicizing newspapers

papal hotwife (milo z), Wednesday, 30 November 2022 07:01 (three years ago)

I even had Murdoch and News Corp and still didnt get it right away lol

got “age” at 93, and then somewhat later, when I got “millions” of “years”, I thought, oh wait, “Earth” maybe? well, no, but…

big movers, hot steppers + long shaker intros (breastcrawl), Wednesday, 30 November 2022 20:16 (three years ago)

2 guesses, 4 minutes

koogs, Wednesday, 30 November 2022 20:20 (three years ago)

i am 4x worse at this than ledge, fact

koogs, Wednesday, 30 November 2022 20:21 (three years ago)

two guesses in thirty seconds!! my best ever result by a massive margin.

Volvo Twilight (p-dog), Wednesday, 30 November 2022 21:30 (three years ago)

I still play Wordle daily, but Redactle is the best of all the -le games, imo.

Volvo Twilight (p-dog), Wednesday, 30 November 2022 21:30 (three years ago)

I solved today's Redactle (#238) in 6 guesses with an accuracy of 100.00%. My best in a long, long time.

mike t-diva, Wednesday, 30 November 2022 23:34 (three years ago)

Same, p-dog.

238: You solved Redactle Unlimited in 101 guesses with 41.58% accuracy and a time of 00:05:50!

I got age at 52, but I clearly needed to think bigger because I needed to get "consent" and "majority" out of my system before I tried universe, even though I noticed the +/- in the first paragraph.

Rabbity Gainsborough (Leee), Wednesday, 30 November 2022 23:34 (three years ago)

I solved Redactle Unlimited in 211 guesses with an accuracy of 74.88% and a time of 01:12:34.

cheated, only know Y****s**** by heart, and that’s a different state. looked it up, and oh yeah, I’ve heard of that one.

big movers, hot steppers + long shaker intros (breastcrawl), Friday, 2 December 2022 17:49 (three years ago)

thanks for telling me to, I managed it

G. D’Arcy Cheesewright (silby), Friday, 2 December 2022 18:08 (three years ago)

Not me!

240: You solved Redactle Unlimited in 42 guesses with 69.05% accuracy and a time of 00:04:52! I saw the three-letter first name and guessed Ian, then rather stupidly went with McEwan (though I wasn't sure if I'd forgotten his last name). The other shoe finally dropped when I thought harder on why film had so many hits.

239: 38/58 00:03:03
Being Californian, pretty easy for me.

Rabbity Gainsborough (Leee), Friday, 2 December 2022 18:20 (three years ago)

this is why it’s always useful to scroll through the text first, annoying as it often may be, to look for clues. in this case everyone who did that (I would think) would be richly rewarded

big movers, hot steppers + long shaker intros (breastcrawl), Friday, 2 December 2022 18:32 (three years ago)

I solved Redactle Unlimited in 2 guesses with an accuracy of 100% and a time of 00:09:04.

I guessed it almost straight away but because of the first sentence I got it into my mind that the title began with 'the' so I kept on scrolling, getting more and more confused.

ledge, Friday, 2 December 2022 19:45 (three years ago)

I got it in 28 (lets say 25 though, I made 3 stupid typos, its too early on a saturday). Once I'd input live I got one of the titles and that gave it away.

Stoop Crone (Trayce), Friday, 2 December 2022 23:51 (three years ago)

Got it in 4, woo.

mike t-diva, Saturday, 3 December 2022 02:00 (three years ago)

as we’re back in the science fields I’ll be helpless like a baby again

I did see Xhaka crotchgrab (breastcrawl), Saturday, 3 December 2022 20:00 (three years ago)

Got todays in 28 with 82% accuracy, nice.

Stoop Crone (Trayce), Sunday, 4 December 2022 02:33 (three years ago)

54 despite getting that it was some kind of organisation against climate change after about 10 :/

242: You solved Redactle Unlimited in 47 guesses with 57.45% accuracy and a time of 00:05:46! I guess I should've gotten this more quickly!

I solved Redactle Unlimited in 9 guesses with an accuracy of 66.67% and a time of 00:13:48.

after guessing food I was trying to think what four letter word could go before 'up food'. heat, warm... tart??

ledge, Sunday, 4 December 2022 18:32 (three years ago)

I solved Redactle Unlimited in 91 guesses with an accuracy of 85.71% and a time of 00:05:42. oh duh - btw, google-translating the uncovered Chinese character would have provided an instant solution

I did see Xhaka crotchgrab (breastcrawl), Sunday, 4 December 2022 18:37 (three years ago)

73 guesses 39.73%. Was utterly flailing even after I worked out food and asia bcs it was almost too obivous lol

Stoop Crone (Trayce), Monday, 5 December 2022 00:32 (three years ago)

I solved Redactle Unlimited in 183 guesses with an accuracy of 75.96% and a time of 00:38:15.

had the first word very in 10, so thought it would be simple, but kept thinking it was about *rb*n expansion. it wasn’t until I tried ‘peasant’ and then ‘farm’ in that context that the answer started unveiling itself.

I did see Xhaka crotchgrab (breastcrawl), Monday, 5 December 2022 19:30 (three years ago)

You solved Redactle Unlimited in 77 guesses with 71.43% accuracy and a time of 00:06:25!

I got it in the opposite order: food at 55, which led to agriculture at 68. Urban came only because I saw "REDACTED, processing, and REDACTED food," so I was thinking that it involved moving farm goods to other places. Still it was a bit of a lucky guess, as I'm not particularly familiar with the term.

Rabbity Gainsborough (Leee), Monday, 5 December 2022 19:50 (three years ago)

39, urban first and yeah the second word was a struggle, got when garden cities popped into my head, which have me 'gardening' in the first line.

ledge, Tuesday, 6 December 2022 11:15 (three years ago)

I got the other word first so coming here for a clue spoiled it for me lol dohhh.

Stoop Crone (Trayce), Tuesday, 6 December 2022 11:21 (three years ago)

244: You solved Redactle Unlimited in 30 guesses with 80% accuracy and a time of 00:04:58!

I thought it might be American Gods at first, then I was trying to think of albums with American in their names, despite "rock" showing up only once and "hip" (lol) not showing up at all.

Rabbity Gainsborough (Leee), Tuesday, 6 December 2022 18:36 (three years ago)

I solved Redactle Unlimited in 5 guesses with an accuracy of 100% and a time of 00:11:18.

well, that’s a surprise! scrolling through that long, long text I became ever more clueless. thought it would be a theatre production or something at first (“running from … to …” - actually wasn’t that far off) but then I started leaning more to sporting event (all that “the save” stuff) (also not *that* far off, really). for that reason, my first guesses were ‘match’ (1), ‘game’ (2), ‘football’ (1), and then ‘American’ (99!!!) - aha… so maybe not theatre, but… yeah.

I did see Xhaka crotchgrab (breastcrawl), Tuesday, 6 December 2022 20:05 (three years ago)

figured it was a TV show then saw the '______ for a _________' sub title which somehow rang a bell.
