Xp I did not but lots of people do. Someone should write a list of all the names for tech company employees. Tweep might be the worst though.

that usage of the word 'peeps' is just colloquial and short for 'people', I don't believe it's how mailchip employees referred to themselves.

well, reading more, maybe not, because he keeps using the word over and over. but he also sounds demented.

If you search twitter for mailchimp peeps then I get the impression it really is their internal name for employees, but who knows.

attitudes like this are completely incomprehensible to me, "I joined the Branch Davidians because I liked David Koresh's guitar playing" would make more sense

I was at work once for close to 92 hours straight. I went home twice over the course of that time to shower and change and had to be back at the office within the hour. We even took turns napping. It sucked so bad but was possibly the most gratifying project in my entire career.

I was in a dept once where people routinely bragged about hours worked and giving up their PTO and letting it expire, it was like "weird flex but go off"

i can totally understand working super hard and being gratified, after it was over, that you helped build something

i understand it much less when the task at hand is basically 'destroying the product because a billionaire says so'

I think the bigger thing was the twitter post which came off as less of a “slice of like” thing and more as a demonstrative gesture
