Sad news. Colin Irwin died suddenly last night. Our love to those who knew and loved him. Colin famously shadowed The Fall on their trip to Iceland. His piece on the trip is here. https://t.co/4G82DpZmiS pic.twitter.com/i3XfWliCDi

flamenco drop (BradNelson), Saturday, 5 November 2022 20:02 (three years ago)

insane and sad

flamenco drop (BradNelson), Saturday, 5 November 2022 20:03 (three years ago)

I saw him perform when he was 13 or something. My friend Joe and I were the only adults in the place not there with little kids. It was pretty awkward, especially the bathroom line. On the way in we saw an excited kid race across the parking lot yelling "Aaron Carter! Aaron Carter!" And he ran straight into a lamppost with a dramatic, cartoonish "clang!" and fell right over like a Looney Tune character before he got up and started crying; it sounded like an olde timey firetruck. He was OK, though, afaict, and I'm sure he had a great time.

RIP Aaron Carter.

Mimi Parker, from Low

Friends, it’s hard to put the universe into language and into a short message, but

She passed away last night, surrounded by family and love, including yours. Keep her name close and sacred. Share this moment with someone who needs you. Love is indeed the most important thing.

nxd, Sunday, 6 November 2022 16:15 (three years ago)

So sad. The recent cancer news obviously sounded bad, but still kind of a shock. I just saw Low play in March at Big Ears, they were fantastic.

"Hair of the Dog" checks all the boxes: awesome riff, lots of cowbell, some kind of vocoder, plus a swear word. Used to see these guys a bunch back in the day, always spot-on with their cover versions ("This Flight Tonight", "Ballad of Hollis Brown", "Gone Dead Train", etc.) RIP Dan.
