What I did:

Go to Search page

Under Text Search, terms: "blue monday"

Next line, click radio button for "Posts"

Under "Order Results By," click radio button for "Newest First"

Click "Search" button right under that.

You need to pony up for ILX Premium.

If I search for posts containing the term “blue monday” (with quotes)

your browser (phone?) is helpfully converting your straight quotes (") to "smart quotes". suspect the search software wants straight ones.

can test by copying this text into the search box rather than typing it yourself:

"blue monday"

on an iphone i think you can force a normal quote mark by holding down the key? these are the wages of ""“aesthetics”""

i have been using 'b' for a while (to bookmark a thread or update a bookmark to the latest post on a thread), but 's' is new to me! i do think using the two in tandem could lead to subconscious drives to suggest ban people, but sometimes you have to take risks for shortcut conveniences

s b and numerals are great shortcuts

b = bookmark
p = add post (moves focus to the text box)
s = site new answers

numbers = goto bookmark n

Leviticus = create poll

actually you should try it, i made that choice awhile back and now it’s nice, unlike the rest of the internet i get to read a conversation without letting dumb reaction memes drive my understanding of it

I opted for images, videos & tweets to load as links years ago. I can easily just load the exact item I want to view without constantly loading/reloading a couple dozen images, gifs, etc. that were part of a conversation from days, months or years earlier. Just seems like a cleaner solution overall.

cleanliness while maintaining density of useful info is imo the one virtue this place has in spades that entire
rest of internet really does not (wikipedia may be only real exception that is not some real specific niche thing)
