By calling for a universal cap, Starmer helped push Truss to do the same. Millions of people will be better off as a result. Keir did good.

I know it could have been worse, but I'm not thanking anyone when I'm paying 130+% more than last year to British Gas and they are still telling me I need to pay more and we are getting loaded with future debt while the companies make record profits. re: that article above, they key point for me seemed like however we find to muddle through these next couple of winters, and whether it's done fairly or unfairly, we still have a dysfunctional retail energy market that will be just as susceptible to these sorts of shocks in the future.

funny how politicians are constantly insisting that public institutions like the BBC and the NHS are in urgent need of reform when privatised industries like trains, energy, water, etc are just allowed to rumble idiotically through the night, more byzantine, inefficient and expensive year after year, just perma-fucked
