there's one where a young woman and her grandmother are talking over zoom, the granddaughter just passed a job interview and is being congratulated by the grandmother, the granddaughter says something about "it must run in the family!" But the grandmother has a Welsh accent and the granddaughter has a Polish accent, so I'm just left wondering what history this family have, her son/daughter must have moved to Poland in the very early 90s and settled down there? But they seem too close for that. Then at the end of the advert they just sit there grinning silently at the camera for 10 seconds.I have seen this 100+ times on TV and pre-roll on YouTube and cannot remember what it is advertising.

the pet charity adverts, someone has a strange sense of humour. there's a cat with one eye, they called it odin. there's another that was found inside a wall and they've called that one mccavity.
if my auntie bought me a magnifying glass for my birthday and i was older than say 4 years old I'd be livid.

Meerkats and Go Compare guy have not only outstayed their welcome, but the newer ads are actually worse. Like when meerkat Sergei has the blue cyborg eye thingy coz he's now AUTO Sergei, or when the Go Compare singer is talking to the actual tenor who plays him, and/or he's dressed up as a woman who is supposedly his wife.

It's 118 118 all over again. Also there's the Plusnet ads, I have no idea why they've persisted with them when they've never been interesting or entertaining or amusing even for a second.

gambling adverts now have been regulated to the point that they look like anti-gambling PSAs, reminds me of the glossy magazine cigarette ads in the 90s where it was just an artsy photo with the colours of the brand and a huge anti-smoking notice underneath

Actually, while I’m here, the most cursed repeat ads on BTSport when they’re looping the same five ads over and over again to block out American ads:Mason Mount spot/any football team adI can’t find this online which is good as I think it edges me nearer to a brain aneurysm. MM/or the team/player who’s the subject taps the screen, talks directly to the viewer while being filmed from below, the cutting is fast to disguise the fact that it looks like someone’s kid knocked it up. Generic music too.Pixel 7 adI have an iPhone. I’m not going to change that any time soon.McDelivery adsIt’s amazing how much you can grow to hate I Think We’re Alone Now and Hungry Eyes.ads for the channel I’m already watchingA whole atrocity of their own!

Yes, the same guy is in one of the Verisure ads too.
I hate all of those ads for I think it's accountancy software, or some other boring shit aimed a small businesses, with annoying tiny people bullying people into buying their incomprehensible product. Especially the one where the woman says, "I don't like tech". Has anyone ever said, "I don't like tech" irl? About some piece of software?

remembering the 90s when all car commercials were "hey there's a woman in a bikini sunbathing on the hood, women will dig you if you buy this car", now it's a bunch of random gobbledegook featuring some old classic rock song they licensed to use.
from sexism to incomprehensibility

In the online ads category (at least I think they don't do these on telly) - Uber, the ship has long sailed on trying to trick people into thinking your drivers are treated anywhere near fairly. I will not interrupt my 4 hour video on a failed theme park to sign up for your fleet no matter how many times you try me.
