https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ry_Cooder

Cooder first attracted attention playing with Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band, notably on the 1967 album Safe as Milk, after previously having worked with Taj Mahal and Ed Cassidy in the Rising Sons. At a vital "warm-up" performance at the Mt. Tamalpais Festival (1967-06-10/11) shortly before the scheduled Monterey Pop Festival (1967-06-16/18), the band began to play "Electricity" and Don Van Vliet froze, straightened his tie, then walked off the 10 ft (3.0 m) stage and landed on manager Bob Krasnow. He later claimed he had seen a girl in the audience turn into a fish, with bubbles coming from her mouth.[9] This aborted any opportunity of breakthrough success at Monterey, as Cooder immediately decided he could no longer work with Van Vliet,[10] effectively quitting both the event and the band on the spot.

Probably not that unusual considering who it is.

Many of the animals are depicted inaccurately, but this can be explained within the storyline - the InGen scientists have made mistakes or deliberate alterations to the species they cloned. They combined Velociraptor with Deinonychus, made Dilophosaurus a dwarf, and gave Brachiosaurus a chewing ability.

They gave Brachiosaurus a chewing ability!!

A week later, Williams announced he would make his debut as a professional wrestler at an upcoming pay-per-view event.[164] Williams stated "I'm a huge, huge, huge fan of professional wrestling, and everything I'm going to do in the ring will be for the wrestlers who I have watched in the past, as well as those I still watch today. I respect the sport, the wrestlers and everything that comes with it." in a press release hyping his appearance.[165]

Accompanied by Barnidge and Austin Dillon, Williams made his debut at Slammiversary XV on July 2, 2017, teaming with Moose (himself a former NFL player) in a victory over Chris Adonis and Eli Drake.[166][167][168] His performance in the match received rave reviews from critics, including journalist Dave Meltzer, who stated that Williams "has the potential to be one of the greatest wrestlers I've ever seen", and compared him to other athletes turned wrestlers such as Matt Riddle, Akiyama, and Kurt Angle.[169] Bryan Alvarez stated that Williams was "pretty damn amazing in his first-ever match".[170] Meltzer later stated that Williams had the best in-ring performance by a celebrity in wrestling history.[171]

Williams announced his retirement from wrestling on July 5, 2017.[172]

It was written by the Scottish band The Vaselines about Molly Weir, according to band member Eugene Kelly, presumably because her Rentaghost television character Hazel McWitch typically appeared in whiteface with emphatic red lips.

A role as the villain in a pornographic western, Hard on the Trail, in 1972, led him to repentance as a missionary for ten years, as he had not been informed of the adult nature of the film and would not have consented to appear in the film. He did not actually appear in any of the pornographic scenes. The film was later released without the pornographic scenes and re-titled Hard Trail in an attempt to eliminate the double entendre.

The word "marshmallow" comes from the mallow plant species (Althaea officinalis), a herb native to parts of Europe, North Africa, and Asia which grows in marshes and other damp areas. The plant's stem and leaves are fleshy, and its white flower has five petals. It is not known exactly when marshmallows were invented, but their history goes back as early as 2000 BCE. Ancient Egyptians were said to be the first to make and use the root of the plant to soothe coughs and sore throats and to heal wounds. The first marshmallows were prepared by boiling pieces of root pulp with honey until thick. Once thickened, the mixture was strained, cooled, then used as intended.

Something about Wikipedia paraphrases of song lyrics is very funny to me.

The song's lyrics refer to the attraction exerted by a person possessing strong sex appeal. They fascinate the singer and arouse his curiosity, even though he is not sure whether he needs them at all.
