Omar was pretty rocky on twitter at first, but she's gotten pretty good.

Josh in Chicago, Wednesday, 13 July 2022 19:03 (three years ago)

Newsmax went on to report they were the finest buttocks in the world.

I didn't think you could butt dial with a Jitterbug

Dialed in the Butt by My Own Butt

F'kin Magnetometers, how do they work? (President Keyes), Wednesday, 13 July 2022 20:05 (three years ago)

if he butt dialed the witness, how did the witness know who it was?

did it show up on their IPhone as "Donnie J Felony"?

Money well spent.

Am told by a Fetterman adviser that the Snooki Cameo that they put out to troll Dr. Oz cost the campaign $393.75

That is genius

It's a sad state of things when "good at twitter" is a qualification for political candidate.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) sued the Biden administration over federal rules that require abortions be provided in medical emergencies in order to save the life of the mother, even in states with near-total bans.

I'll bet Truman would've done some serious trolling of Stalin if he had twitter

No way, dude! It's just modern oration! It doesn't mean someone has good policies or will be a good custodian of their office, it's just a tool in the toolbox.

i'm reading master of the senate right now and if you think lbj would not have been good at twitter you're out of your mind.

Breaking News: Senator Joe Manchin said he wouldn’t support funding for climate programs or raising taxes on the wealthy, a major blow for the Biden agenda. https://t.co/WgMU7KPtn6

wait didn't he say a couple months ago he would sign a climate deal?

frogbs, Friday, 15 July 2022 03:23 (three years ago)

Maybe he was afraid Dobbs gave them a chance to hold the Senate.

hilarious there is no punishment for this sort of behavior.

Tracer Hand, Friday, 15 July 2022 08:12 (three years ago)

I would simply subpoena Manchin’s daughter for a very public congressional hearing on epipens

no one wants to twerk anymore (will), Friday, 15 July 2022 10:56 (three years ago)

Why can’t Schumer call one of his thrice-hourly press conferences and expel Manchin from the party? Just say “We don’t have your vote anyway, so why should we waste our party fundraising apparatus and all the rest on you? Fuck off, you’re on your own”?

but also fuck you (unperson), Friday, 15 July 2022 11:04 (three years ago)

also I’m expecting the GOP to easily take the House, but I guess there’s a small chance the Senate numbers could hold? lots of ifs here, but in the off chance the democrats pick up a seat in Ohio, it might be time to hang Manchin out to dry. if the only thing Demotcan do—whether it’s 50 seats or 59—is judges, well then you’ve still got your 50. cradling his shriveled nuts just isn’t worth it any more, imho.

no one wants to twerk anymore (will), Friday, 15 July 2022 11:05 (three years ago)

only thing Democrats can do*

Manchin still votes for judges.

They don't have it now.

Manchin still votes for judges.

And if Schumer told him "fuck you, go be an independent like Bernie" he'd stop? Then fuck him twice.

but also fuck you (unperson), Friday, 15 July 2022 12:01 (three years ago)

I wish I had a better answer other than "We need more Dems in the Senate." Even "Manchin should drop dead" means a GOP governor appoints his successor.

Malevolent Arugula (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Friday, 15 July 2022 12:13 (three years ago)

They don't have it now.

ok then go ahead and Manchin out of the party and see if anything changes

Well it’s more plausible than “out of respect for his friendship with Abe”.

Antifa Sandwich Artist (Boring, Maryland), Friday, 15 July 2022 13:43 (three years ago)

dems will likely hold the senate since fetterman is sure to beat Oz at this point and I'm guessing Warnock will wind up beating Walker. But don't know if they'll actually pick up a seat.

akm, Friday, 15 July 2022 13:46 (three years ago)

I wouldn't say anything is "likely." How much unlikely stuff has happened in the last several years? Once reasonable candidates start beating lunatics and incompetents by double digits rather than a point or two I'll start feeling better about what does or does not seem likely.
