the world really isn't big enough for two male/female Galaxie 500 side projects called 'D__n and [someone]'. p sure one of them covered an Opal song one time.

Wait, they are not the same?

Double Elvis on the Dime (James Redd and the Blecchs), Thursday, 9 June 2022 17:06 (four years ago)

apparently not! I just sampled a few songs by each duo, and it seems as if one of them might be 'sadcore' and the other might be 'slowcore'. not sure which is which, though. further investigation is needed

f.m. corndog (unregistered), Thursday, 9 June 2022 17:18 (four years ago)

This is why I have my other similarly named thread that seemed to have caused a bit of confusion. I know that they both exist and don't really Always Get Them Mixed Up, but yet.

Definitely been guilty of mixing up these two Bills in the past.

For years, Pullman was in the odd position of being a household name who was forever mistaken for the late Bill Paxton, star of Apollo 13, Twister and A Simple Plan. Even now, Pullman’s Wikipedia page has a slightly impertinent note at the top: “Not to be confused with Bill Paxton.” Pullman blames the confusion on the plosives in their names, though I suspect it’s more to do with their everyman personas.

Having a peroneal rupture is very, very different from having a perineal rupture.

That's an easy mistake to make.

In fact bottle of Peroni beer could cause a perineal rupture! And possibly a peroneal rupture if you stepped on it wrong.

Or is it the other way around? I will never look at the Peroni women and her jaunty hat in the same way again.

Yes. Whenever someone says "Flying Lizards" I think "monkey banana kitchen" but unfortunately that is pretty seldom what they mean, usually it's "Money" which is obv the case in this case

Mark G, Wednesday, 27 July 2022 16:02 (three years ago)

haha, it's really just the cover image of Fourth Wall that I also associate with Monkey Banana Kitchen (because of the similar color schemes and because I got into those 2 records right around the same time). That causes me to refer to one when I'm thinking of the other all the damn time.
