Rest In Peace to Neal Adams. As a kid wanting to draw comics his work was daunting, the upper echelon of draftsmanship you could never attain. I've changed my opinion on that since then lol but wow was his work powerful when he was on.

Terrible news. Football agent Mino Raiola has passed away after illness, he’s been sick for months, he was 54.

Raiola was the agent of many football stars like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Erling Haaland, Pavel Nedved and many others.

Session drummer Ric Parnell, best known as Spinal Tap's Mick Shrimpton.

They then asked me what other bands I'd been in, and I said, 'Well, I was in a band called Atomic Rooster.' They looked at each other and said, 'Yep, that's it, you're our man.' "

Ah man, bummer news. This moment in this bit from the film just showing him for a couple of seconds with a ridiculous drum solo is easily one of my favorite moments.

...Parnell continued to play for various other bands and artists throughout the 1970s and 1980s including Michael Des Barres and Lisa Dal Bello, as well as providing the drums for the Toni Basil hit "Mickey" among other contributions. At one time, Steve Perry offered him a spot in Journey, but Parnell declined as he was preoccupied with his studio band at the time Zoo Drive, a decision he later regretted.

Spinal Tap became a working band, recording a soundtrack album and promoting the film with live shows and a 1984 appearance on Saturday Night Live. The character of Mick Shrimpton having died in This Is Spinal Tap, Parnell assumed the role of his "twin brother" drummer Ric Shrimpton for the group's appearances subsequent to the film.

I first saw him at Second City in the late ‘80s or early ‘90s; he wasn’t in that show’s cast, but showed up for the second improv set. This description can’t do it justice, but he and two others mimed fishing. One said, “Anything?” He said. “No.” Pause. “Let’s try the water,” and they re-cast their lines.

He also appeared in a veritable deluge of Canadian film and TV for 40 years.

First I've heard of Kenneth Welsh's death. I think I'm atypical in that I loved the Windom Earle character--one of the saving graces of S2, I'd say.
