Tiny bit disappointed that this wasn't a part of Shrewsbury called Bingo but still, well found

StanM, Friday, 8 April 2022 19:17 (four years ago)

Was just going to get a second pic, didn't realize it had been guessed so quickly. Good work, I thought that one might go on feel

I think it feels mediterranean, maybe? Fortifications, marina, bridge that needs to go up, don't know if those are arabian-inspired arches on the building in the distance (behind the runner)?

StanM, Monday, 18 April 2022 11:35 (four years ago)

... can't seem to find it around the mediterranean unless I've missed it

seriously Stan, you checked *all of the* Mediterranean region for cities/towns with what… white bridges? I did a random Google search to that effect, to no avail obviously

middot • is • my • middle • name (breastcrawl), Tuesday, 19 April 2022 16:24 (four years ago)

I’m mostly curious about that dark brown structure on the right, which looks like it might be some kind of fortress/ fortification, or maybe it’s just a residential area with brown houses/buildings - can’t really tell, the resolution is quite low

middot • is • my • middle • name (breastcrawl), Tuesday, 19 April 2022 16:27 (four years ago)

on the right? on the left I mean

middot • is • my • middle • name (breastcrawl), Tuesday, 19 April 2022 16:28 (four years ago)

cities near the sea with marinas yes? ok maybe not all of them then

StanM, Tuesday, 19 April 2022 17:59 (four years ago)

still quite impressive!

StanM, Tuesday, 19 April 2022 19:16 (four years ago)

by jeezums! I had given up - how did you find it?

StanM, Saturday, 30 April 2022 07:10 (four years ago)

am I glad it's not on the Mediterranean, phew :-)

StanM, Saturday, 30 April 2022 07:11 (four years ago)

Just lazily dotting about cities on the Med and in western Europe with estuaries, turned up eventually

ignore the blue line (or something), Saturday, 30 April 2022 07:33 (four years ago)

Estuaries and harbours anyway

bridge is kinda whack - the whole thing, tram wires and all, rises up to let boats through. odd little jigsaw piece tag on the opposite side.

koogs, Saturday, 30 April 2022 10:38 (four years ago)

I'm guessing it's linked to that Comics Crepes shop on the corner, since there's a comic image on it

StanM, Saturday, 30 April 2022 10:42 (four years ago)

thought i might post one, been a while and found a google map image i liked. another bridge (hope this works)

General Rafael Urdaneta Bridge, Venezuela

micah, Saturday, 30 April 2022 22:06 (four years ago)

nice one! any clues in the picture or did you know it?

StanM, Sunday, 1 May 2022 06:18 (four years ago)

it looked like a long bridge in south america, so i found a list of longest bridges in south america. this was #4. the vehicle barrier design and median paint are quite distinctive.

micah, Sunday, 1 May 2022 07:46 (four years ago)

great! thanks for explaining :)

StanM, Sunday, 1 May 2022 09:02 (four years ago)

thought it might go easy, the city is obv Maracaibo. This was the the 180

Safely say that's somewhere in this paradise we call the UK

ignore the blue line (or something), Wednesday, 18 May 2022 14:15 (four years ago)

Yeah, feels incredibly familiar yet also I have probably never been there.

kinder, Wednesday, 18 May 2022 14:41 (four years ago)

my brain is having a hard time comprehending how the door on the left connects with the brickwork.

Ste, Wednesday, 18 May 2022 14:51 (four years ago)

The building on the left clearly needs that alarm system, doesn't it.
+ what a mysterious row of windows to the right - with the red panels. Not garage doors... - also that very high light pole straight ahead, there must be a big area there I suppose?

StanM, Wednesday, 18 May 2022 14:59 (four years ago)

the gray bit of building sticking out on the right is pretty distinctive too, imho

StanM, Wednesday, 18 May 2022 15:00 (four years ago)

I'm guessing the red brick building is a car park. Looks like there are about ten thousand modern red brick car parks in the uk. The building reflected in the window with the vertical fluting is also pretty standard issue.

buffalo tomozzarella (ledge), Wednesday, 18 May 2022 15:03 (four years ago)

I think there’s a playground at the far end of the park. Not that it narrows down the location too much.

that's not my post, Wednesday, 18 May 2022 15:26 (four years ago)

ftom what I gather, the double yellow kerbside is also used in Ireland (I’m ruling out former BE places like Malta, S’pore and Malaysia here)
