god i can't put up with shake shack's mythos is the problem -- i rarely am in that part of town and the line is always hueg. i'd love to eat their burgers but not with those ppl in my jock.

i think p&t is now aiming for december. s4th & driggs.

the outside is still pretty charry even when i order it basically raw.

also: joe's bestburger in queens (flushing) on main st. pretty good in-n-out knockoff, and they make handcut fries which are a+.

i have heard there are good burgers at melt on bergen st (served like 1/2 price at the bar??) but i have only eaten brunch there.

also they have like 10 diff flavors of joe's brand soda, and you always get free cookies or something with your meal.

joe's is the chain that wasn't - they have everything set up like there are a million of them around the globe, but that's the only one.

also someone mentioned pequena in ft. greene upthread, their brunch is great + cheap. huevos rancheros etc.

i haven't been to alchemy, maybe i'll try this weekend! we've done that new orleans place on atlantic 2x (??? stan's? i forget the name). cafe du monde = winner. service is slooooooow and the prices are a touch higher than they should be.

yeah I went once, it's real good but probably not worth the massively long wait (or maybe it's not as hot as it used to be? I haven't seen any gossip-page shit about Bill Clinton running into Jay-Z there in a while). the pork belly was crazy.

did you check out the menu at the tavern room at gt, max? i really do think that could be a good option. even if there is a wait, it's a lot more civilized than the bar crush at some places.

yah i dont know if pies n thighs is stoned or what but judging from the couple conversations ive had w/one of the owners they def were just all YAY LETS OPEN A FUN RESTAURANT which totally awesome attitude imo but they no doubt had a steep learning curve once the city started fucking w/them and they had to move etc

xpost yeah that is problem with it, opening up a restaurant is actually not fun at all, and tho i admire their attitudes it just seems like more than they bargained for unfortunately.
