I solved Semantle #24 in 66 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 3.15. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #39. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 69.46 (999/1000). My early low-level hits were ancient, zodiac, constellation, fantasy, myth so I was on the wrong track for a while.

I gave up on #23 around guess 120 but only because I was really busy last night/today! I think I like the harder ones more.

#24 in 72 guesses. Guess 32 was internet which was 884/1000 and led to a very lucky guess.

I really like the new personal stats tracking... would be fun to see (my own) quickest and longest solves on there.

Wow, that one was a struggle. Took me over 120 guesses to get into the green, another 50 guesses to get into the 900s, & a further 50 guesses to nail it. Satisfying finish, tho, enabled by a surprising intuitive leap at guess 211.

This one took me 228 guesses. I was stuck for a really long time at 977, then got one guess a few steps higher than that and immediately found the solution.

I'm not proud but I'll take it. I think I have a new Playing Semantle at Work strategy - make a bunch of guesses, get stuck, do something else and come back to it later.

Which is probably a good Semantle strategy even without the "at work" part.

Yet again, swimming in a sea of green, well into the 900s, and yet I can't get it. Will take the above advice and take a break.

Taking a break at guess 700 today. got to 992/1000 and I'm stuck.

ugh after being so cold i tried something completely different i got 972/1000 on guess 8 and quickly got to 993/1000 on guess 10 and…. now i’m on guess 25 and stuck.

998 really lulls you into a sense of false confidence, I could never get that close to the answer and think I still need to change direction. The jump from 998 to 999 makes some sort of theoretical sense I guess but all of my answers in the 990s were related to cumbersomeness or convolutedness, had to assume I just wasn't hitting the right synonym. Costliness feels like a whole different world

972 is my best so far, but unlike Fizzles I have yet to progress further from it.
