why are so many of the posts on my TL today from suggested topics? I don't want to follow any topics

One annoying thing they should fix is how when someone posts a thread, as you're scrolling down the TL, you'll first see the whole thread, then some ways further down, you'll see the same thread again but minus the last post, then if you keep scrolling you'll see the same thread yet again but minus the last 2 posts, and so forth and so on.

Why is it so incredibly hard to find old tweets? For fuck’s sake Twitter I just want to search amongst my followers list to find a tweet from a couple weeks ago that mentioned ILM 2021 Tracks Poll winners Wet Leg.

There is literally no way to do this. All the top minds are working on it but it's been proven impossible. Once that tweet drops off your screen it's gone forever.
(I think you can fiddle with the search settings - but it still never finds what I'm looking for)

I don't find this hard, except when it's something someone I follow has retweeted, and then it's pretty much impossible.

Love how it sticks a large blue distracting button at the top of the screen saying "View latest tweets" when I am already doing precisely that.
