I interned at a major recording studio where portions of Bat Out of Hell were recorded and I used to peruse the Rolodex. I remember one card reading “Meat and Sandy Loaf”.

^^that's great, reminds me of a little kid I met once who referred to her "Uncle Sting."

The New York Times once referred to him, per their style guide, as “Mr. Loaf”.

I recall guest host Christopher Lee introducing him on SNL in the late-70's by saying "ladies and gentlemen, I would like you to meet...Loaf!"
