Amos, Drummer and Bobbie, impossible to pick a fave

Drummer has very much become my favorite.

don't know what it was like in the books but clearly feels like a case of "let's center the show and drama around the fan-favorite"

considering Drummer is a composite character ...

in the books there are at least two characters that the TV Drummer's storyline is derived from

This was part of the "trivia" in the sidebar during this week's episode: they mentioned that book-Drummer and book-Michio were kind of combined to create TV-Drummer, which I guess means TV-Michio is made up from whole cloth?

Was not expecting the stupid little girl in the opening sequences to go full Pet Sematary with her little brother. That storyline is still worthless IMO, though.

cant believe show over next week, but been a very tight/great season so far with exception of lacona subplot which only seem sto be there for possibility of eventual spinoff/sequal (watch me be proved wrong next week when they wrap it in somehow)

I have an infinite capacity to watch the characters talk about stuff but I do hope that more than one thing happens in the final episode

Usually the clothes on this show are just kind of utilitarian and there, and even Avasarala's outfits are just "rich, fancy old lady," but the hair and outfit she wore for the meeting with Drummer were amazing.

tight close-up on bobby when she’s expounding her philosophy of war to amos in the bar on ceres, maybe the tightest i’ve seen on this show. feels like the closest they’ve come to a thesis statement. that “your people” are ultimately what’s important. the roci is an elective little sovereign statelet of badasses and dreamers - they are each other’s people. “i pick my own side” (- naomi bob marley)

btw i choose to believe that right after the camera cuts away from bobbie at the bar she looks up, we get another massive close up, and she goes “wait up, amos”

finally watched eps 4-5. i'm not sure i really buy drummer coming over like that, but they did a great job in limited time trying to sell it. the little moments they have -- bobbie and amos in the bar, holden and peaches in the kitchen, drummer and naomi on the bridge -- are so good at developing both the characters and the story.

(it's such a stark contrast with star trek discovery's efforts in this area, where it's all like Character A: hello, i am feeling poorly because of x, y and z, some of which are my parents! then Character B: (simpering) but i believe in you! do you feel seen yet?)

that said, philip's 'dis is woah!' speech was bad and cringeworthy
