using nvultra (new version of nvalt) on macos, and had always used simplenote on the phone - text entry comes up quickly and easily and integrated with simplenote, but nvultra just runs off your folder structure and syncs via dropbox or whatever.
so i’ve been looking for a phone and ipad markdown notes app that’s as easy to use as sn. bear, ulysses and iawriter all have a slightly painful folder structure for quick note taking. 1Writer is *probably* the best and easiest, but it’s still fiddly.
any recommendations?

it doesn't sync with nvultra and also separately i was having a problem with the navalt target folder. HOEWVER i have now sorted out that problem, renamed the folder so it's one that i use for all notes now. using nvultra as a macOS editor, and nvalt as a bridging sync with simplenote. so i'm good again.
i mean i just made things difficult for myself basically. no fault of any of the apps.

Just posted a vague and messy question tangentially related to this:
Second Brain: Note taking, productivity, Notion, Airtable, Obsidian, Mondays, Asana etc
