that thing on the right side of the white panel in the middle of picture looks like the NBA logo

Dinsdale, Friday, 17 December 2021 19:23 (four years ago)

fuck, left side

Dinsdale, Friday, 17 December 2021 19:23 (four years ago)

i think the logos on the wall are the same as the one in the O. and i thought N but W might be closer.

koogs, Friday, 17 December 2021 19:51 (four years ago)

> is that a picture of a mascot?

a cartoon bird on the tv inside?

koogs, Friday, 17 December 2021 19:57 (four years ago)

I don't know how temporary this corridor is - at first I thought: very, but then... that pipe top left, they cut out part of the blue wall for that - it's no longer something that can be just deconstructed & used elsewhere now

(in short: we still don't have a clue :-) )

StanM, Saturday, 18 December 2021 09:37 (four years ago)

something like... a hospital being rebuilt = this corridor is a semi-permanent construction that will be used for several years?

StanM, Saturday, 18 December 2021 09:39 (four years ago)

The big heaters make me think people aren't passing through the corridor quickly, they'd be in a slow line. I also thought vaccination center, but there would probably be markers on the floor for 6 foot distancing.

Hideous Lump, Saturday, 18 December 2021 09:59 (four years ago)

Looks like a sports or convention center facility. The flag/banner below the "TO" looks like the Pittsburg Penguins mascot, maybe this is an adjacent gym?

nickn, Saturday, 18 December 2021 19:31 (four years ago)

- I don't know what we're looking at there but I don't see a penguin in that?
- Aldo said: "The door is tied back with something printed, the right hand one maybe ends DAS or OAS" - I think I see a CAOU.. or CHOU.. ?

StanM, Sunday, 19 December 2021 19:21 (four years ago)

the blue doors in the distance - yeah, they feel like something you could have at a big convention center or sports arena indeed

StanM, Sunday, 19 December 2021 19:22 (four years ago)

... I don't think we'll get it with this one pic, to be honest.

StanM, Sunday, 19 December 2021 19:23 (four years ago)

Santa Cruz, CA

tomorrow, Monday, 20 December 2021 16:36 (four years ago)

wow.

Nedlene Grendel as Basenji Holmo (map), Monday, 20 December 2021 16:37 (four years ago)

Good effort. I can see the trident of the W in the O now I've seen the logo.

Long enough attention span for a Stephen Bissette blu-ray extra (aldo), Monday, 20 December 2021 16:40 (four years ago)

the penguin is not a penguin

koogs, Monday, 20 December 2021 16:44 (four years ago)

wow indeed!

kinder, Monday, 20 December 2021 18:18 (four years ago)

I had actually been looking at sports stadiums in San Diego because I thought I had a colour match but without luck.

Long enough attention span for a Stephen Bissette blu-ray extra (aldo), Monday, 20 December 2021 18:20 (four years ago)

The penguin is not what it seems.

nickn, Monday, 20 December 2021 20:09 (four years ago)

omg! well done :-)

StanM, Monday, 20 December 2021 20:21 (four years ago)

This is the Penguins I saw, the eyes seem to be there, thought the real mascot has a wider beak.

nickn, Monday, 20 December 2021 20:47 (four years ago)

Nicely taken. Got. off to a good start then the trail seemed to go cold as confidence waned, until tomorrow came on in the second half and smashed it in from distance at first time of asking, nae doubt about that one

A view for the Christmas break

Christmas in Davenport (cherry blossom), Friday, 24 December 2021 13:17 (four years ago)

Not sure why I'm thinking this looks British?

StanM, Friday, 24 December 2021 14:29 (four years ago)

That looks like a number of atations on the Merseyrail network

ignore the blue line (or something), Friday, 24 December 2021 14:48 (four years ago)

there's only 67 stations :-/

StanM, Friday, 24 December 2021 15:00 (four years ago)

It's not the first one i thought it might be

ignore the blue line (or something), Friday, 24 December 2021 15:16 (four years ago)

Which is St Michael's, so that narrows it down a bit

ignore the blue line (or something), Friday, 24 December 2021 15:17 (four years ago)

And i think Merseyrail colouring is generally yellow rather than blue

ignore the blue line (or something), Friday, 24 December 2021 16:17 (four years ago)

aren't the blue things a bit... overkill? are the walls protected maybe? monument?

StanM, Friday, 24 December 2021 18:48 (four years ago)

I'd have thought it's a ramp down into a cutting

ignore the blue line (or something), Friday, 24 December 2021 23:05 (four years ago)

Looking again at the steps it might be a slight optical illusion and we're actually heading down towards the station building

ignore the blue line (or something), Friday, 24 December 2021 23:08 (four years ago)

Definitely heading downward. I don't have time at the moment, but there's this if anyone wants to take a stab at it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_underground_stations_of_the_Merseyrail_network

we need outrage! we need dicks!! (the table is the table), Saturday, 25 December 2021 15:59 (four years ago)

(Sorry if that violates rules! I just think it's an interesting sub-category in and of itself, and I'm not even from the UK)

we need outrage! we need dicks!! (the table is the table), Saturday, 25 December 2021 16:00 (four years ago)

There are no rules except at Christmas when you have to wear a Santa hat

Guess the city
A station and some railings for you,
In blue
Worked my way through the list
Guess the city
And click around streetview tonight

kinder, Saturday, 25 December 2021 19:30 (four years ago)

it looks cold and rainy - does that narrow it down?

StanM, Saturday, 25 December 2021 19:36 (four years ago)

gave up looking at merseyside ones, seem to be mostly yellow rails

Ste, Saturday, 25 December 2021 19:39 (four years ago)

It's definitely England

Alternative Ulsterbus, Sunday, 26 December 2021 02:19 (four years ago)

Feel like the brick colour is a clue. Complicated, expensive eaves. Loads of trains on the schedule, has to be London surely? But I'm also getting a Sheffieldous vibe

Alternative Ulsterbus, Sunday, 26 December 2021 02:27 (four years ago)

i feel like it's London but somewhere outer based on the size, but well connected based on the departures board.

board has long names and short names on it. different directions? can't see any tube termini with names that short though, looks like only 4 or 5 letters.

koogs, Sunday, 26 December 2021 07:57 (four years ago)

Greater Manchester stations use the blue colour scheme but not finding anything as yet

ignore the blue line (or something), Sunday, 26 December 2021 16:15 (four years ago)

Nottingham

Nedlene Grendel as Basenji Holmo (map), Sunday, 26 December 2021 16:52 (four years ago)

is it?

StanM, Tuesday, 28 December 2021 14:20 (four years ago)

Could be Scotland - Scotrail stations have blue all over like that. Feel like the key to this would be finding the route that fits the station name lengths on the screen, but can't be bothered with that right now.

Eyeball Kicks, Friday, 31 December 2021 03:01 (four years ago)

It's destinations, I guess, not points on a route.

Eyeball Kicks, Friday, 31 December 2021 03:04 (four years ago)

I bet it's Falkirk or Coatbridge Sunnyside. Something like that. If they are cities. Which they're not.

Eyeball Kicks, Friday, 31 December 2021 03:07 (four years ago)

I has an instinct of Scotland when I first saw it. But my instincts usually, erm, stinc.
