agreed; why would i want my actors to be normal. also i like how he takes his job seriously, also as others have pointed out, kendall as a character wouldn't be so heartbreaking (even if annoying af) if he didn't approach the role that way.

yeah his intensity and seriousness really come through, i mean someone else could prob do it a different way but hes got it working and i salute him

it's kinda unrealistic that gerri is in roman's phone as "Gerri Kellman" - i bet he'd have her in there as like "rack my balls gerri" or something

also this is super quibbly but the way Roman sent the text to Logan is not really possible? but who gives a shit it was such a great turn

I think the animation was a little off, but if you're in the middle of texting someone, get a notification and absent-mindedly click on it, and then put in your message/photo, you've switched who you're texting

Yeah, it shows Logan texting Roman a message very similar to the one Gerri texted a split-second before, so it makes sense when he clicked to reply he thought it was to Gerri.

It really didn’t occur to me at all that Kendall might be dead. Surely it’s just him being a melodramatic child cosplaying what it felt like to drown after the conversation with Logan (except doing it on an inflatable in a pool in Tuscany which kind of highlighted how empty the gesture was to anyone outside of his own head). He even spoke to his kid in a really teenagey monosyllabic way right beforehand. Just another pathetic Kendall moment imo

Also Jeremy Strong is amazing in this and has my full support for any ludicrous self-seriousness on or off set

ive never listened to the red scare podcast but since i go on twitter i have heard people talk about it

i also did not watch white lotus but still it was funny to hear that the director told the actors playing the awful college girls to model their performance after red scare

like the entire thing with these people is they’re enacting their own versions of Logan’s dog kicking, with Tom’s being weirdly frat boy-esque, Roman trying his weird repressed version, even Connor, having experienced an earlier childhood, doing his weird shit

there’s this bit where Logan wants everyone to succeed, within his dog-kicking standards of fealty. you drop the fealty or don’t appreciate getting kicked, he just makes your life hell. and if you put up with it, you’re one of his godawful goblin children and he will kick and defend you to the end of the earth
