+ I was today years old when I learned what a submarine hall looks like.

One lucky guess does not make you as good as the rest of you. I just lurk in case a miracle like this comes up.
I'm busy the rest of the week, happy for anybody else to post the next one.

bridge looks just like the wabash railroad bridge near pittsburgh, but nearby area/street views don't add up

The last two have definitely been impressive! Looks like there was a good deal of gut feeling in this one too, then just narrowing it down from there?
― Christmas in Davenport (cherry blossom), Tuesday, 30 November 2021 16:20 (four years ago)
wow again!
― StanM, Tuesday, 30 November 2021 16:22 (four years ago)
Yea gut feeling on the Ohio River. Couldn't shake Wabash bridge but then started going thru a wiki list of other bridges over the river, pic of Bellaire bridge looked spot on.

Seems it's no longer in use and "a decrepit nuisance that residents of both states are eager to demolish." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bellaire_Bridge

Britain since the steering wheel is on the right, but this house in the front looks kinda New Orleansy, that's probably the red herring here
― StanM, Tuesday, 30 November 2021 17:04 (four years ago)
At a glance first thought was somewhere in Ireland, mainly due to the houses the other side of the garage, but yes not sure about that first house on the left

I was thinking Wheeling, WV from the pic before last, so I wasn't too far off.
― o. nate, Tuesday, 30 November 2021 20:50 (four years ago)
asutralian vibes - lots of toyotas, road markings, architecure of the house on the left (particularly the roll formed metal roof and sandstone retaining wall), gum tree in the background. compact low rise housing looks like the south. also looks a bit like new zealand of course.
― micah, Tuesday, 30 November 2021 21:07 (four years ago)
Yep immediately thought Australia with that pic, the house verandahs are the giveaway.
― Zelda Zonk, Tuesday, 30 November 2021 21:44 (four years ago)
nice job. the house design definitely threw me, so i figured it a good twist

Wow again, was coming back to look at this one properly, thinking it might be NZ, but its gone already
This guesses in this weeks as good as they've been, each one from distance leaving the keeper with no chance

Hobart is lovely (to visit anyway, living there might be different) and pretty different from what people normally think of Australia (ie it's cold!). I've thought of moving down there but then I look at house prices and yikes
― Zelda Zonk, Wednesday, 1 December 2021 02:12 (four years ago)
Yeah it went nuts about 5 years ago. Cold? currently 30°C / 84 F, but we had snow down to 300m two weeks ago ...Hobart's climate is almost exactly the same as the Bay Area.
― assert (matttkkkk), Wednesday, 1 December 2021 02:38 (four years ago)
I was there one spring and it was bloody freezing! But I'm currently in Sydney so my idea of what's hot and cold is probably warped. Mind you, we've just had one of the wettest/coldest Novembers in history here...
― Zelda Zonk, Wednesday, 1 December 2021 02:43 (four years ago)
the animals in Australia really freak me out - fruit bats hanging off of trees, snakes, giant spiders, crocodiles
― Dan S, Wednesday, 1 December 2021 03:50 (four years ago)
True, but I have wallabies and pademelons in my back yard every evening, and one morning an echidna bumbling around.

Yeah I thought the shape of the war memorial is very Latin America. Also a statue of a soldier with what looks like either the Virgin Mary or a saint in front of it.

I think the petrol station is PetroEcuador but can't find history of them having a split logo like that.
― Long enough attention span for a Stephen Bissette blu-ray extra (aldo), Friday, 3 December 2021 13:21 (four years ago)
- the second word on that petrol station looks like America to me- that big brown monument is the crow's nest of a ship, memorial to some big sinking disaster?- building to the right with the two portals looks more Middle Eastern- palm trees
― StanM, Friday, 3 December 2021 13:47 (four years ago)
Found the right logo for PetroAmerica in Peru, the O is a globe.

couldn't have done it without aldo though, thank you :-)
Well done team!
Loving the extremely spartan look and concrete street furniture of Plaza Garibaldi, perhaps like that because it is surrounded by a three/four lane road with no visible means of pedestrian access.
