I got around to watching the movie Zola last week, and Braun pretty much plays a variation of Greg in that one. Not a whole lot of screen time, though.

it's hard for me to imagine that dude acting in a different manner, in a different mode, but he really nails it. love how chaotic this was, how it was almost like a bottle episode w/characters getting to take occasional breaks in other areas.

in some ways greg's grandpa is just as much of a fuckstick as logan

This show nails a good balance between drama and comedy

yea it’ll be interesting if logan digs at roman @ all for the prez convo in comparison to his clearly berating shiv for her actions while he was piss mad (shiv “well what would you have done?” logan “not that”)

shiv's impressive the last few episodes. kendall is such a dumb dipshit.

yet another episode ending with kendall *crushed* --that shot of him in the terrible office, man oh man, and realizing his dad isn't coming

i'm kinda glad i'm not binging this show i love savoring it the whole week but i will prolly go back and binge the whole season over a few days once it's done

fave thing this week was the frank/karl/gerri interplay as they keep trying to stall the shareholder meeting, karl is such a POS

and Karl finally wanting to go out when there was good news, to which frank threw his hands in the air.

this season is not as good as the first two

Why would that lead you to think it was Armstrong who plagiarised the line? The script is co-credited to Tony Roche, it could just as well have been him who nicked it.

Nearly all the writers are English, and the “writers room” is in Brixton. The line which works clearly in context as well as a nod to a comedy duo of a slightly earlier age obv could have been from anyone, but feels like Armstrongian playfulness.

fun episode too, I guess they scaled back production and did some social distancing for covid reasons. I found the theatre like staging with lots of anon extras enhanced the sense of how all these Waystar schemers are lost in their own ambitions. The inner circle is a lonely place. Jostling for position in front of the ailing king. The Waystar A.G.M. had a Waystar Four Season Total Landscaping vibe, which again was partly to do with covid restrictions, I guess. Is a jigsaw piece missing regarding the telephone call Logan received behind the scenes, with tom... was Logan faking something!??

that sounds more flip than I meant it to be. Am interested in why people thing this season isn't as good.

*the screws are tightening on the family
*Kendall is a hot mess
*As are the rest of the kids, but watching Kendall go through all of this and try to get traction has been great, am genuinely curious how next week will go, looks like he's maybe being deposed?
*I thought all that Holly Hunter/Rhea from Season 2 wasn't great and ultimately distracting
*Shiv is rising through the org and doing great work but also getting yelled at by Logan in ways he's only yelled at Ro-Ro and Ken Ken
*The stakes are super high for Tom, and you can almost feel it, his outburst last week w/Egg, his crazy shit with Shiv this week

i could see someone saying season 1 is maybe a lil less good as the show needed to get its footing but otherwise this season is just as good imo as last season and its operating at a v v high level

waterface otm, for all those reasons. I really like this season. I thought Sunday's episode felt like it could have been a season finale, rather than just the halfway point.

Many great moments in this episode and the season overall. Shiv's hamhanded but quasi-successful attempt to form a daughters' bond with the other Sandy was well played on both sides.

i do love this season, but I read this today and kind of agree (possibly mildish spoilers for future episodes though)
