i stayed at this place with a cavernous, sterile kitchen, white marble and brushed steel and chrome, but it had these 3 big chandeliers, and for about 20 minutes each afternoon the sun would hit all the prisms just right and the entire room was spangled with rainbows.

when my kitty was new to the world and i brought her outside for the first time, she got so hyped up zooming hither and thither thru the grass and up and down trees that finally she came over and flopped at my feet, panting like a dog. i really liked that.
